The Opportunity

As a Senior Data Analysis, you’ll manage and analyse data to support the delivery and construction teams in addressing risks and issues that impact the construction, fit-out, and commissioning programme.

You’ll work closely with the L4 Schedule Integration & Production Control Manager and the Lead Production Controller to provide valuable insights that drive improved performance and decision-making. Your role will focus on ensuring the effective use of data to identify issues and optimise the implementation of the schedule.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll lead a dedicated team of data analysts to support the Production Control team, ensuring high-quality, actionable data is provided to monitor and improve schedule adherence. You’ll oversee the analysis of Level 4 and Level 5 schedules, progress reports, and other critical data, creating targeted weekly reports that drive performance improvements.

You’ll collaborate closely with the L5 Planning and Production Control teams to deliver insightful data, identify areas for continuous improvement, and support the creation of action plans for schedule adherence. Your leadership will ensure that data is understood, validated, and effectively integrated across the team, helping drive mitigation, recovery planning, and resolution of key issues.


Who you are

You’ll bring proven leadership experience in managing teams within high-pressure environments, consistently delivering top-quality results to tight deadlines. You’ll have knowledge of project planning processes, particularly within Engineering, Procurement, and Construction, to identify and resolve complex issues across multiple project interfaces.

With significant experience in project controls, Primavera P6, MS Excel, Power BI, and database management, you’ll ensure effective schedule management and oversight. You’ll also utilise your expertise in project/programme management to provide clear, actionable insights, creating visual and written reports that drive success.

You should have a strong background in regulated industries such as Nuclear, Defence, or Aerospace to enable you to engage effectively across all levels of the project, building strong relationships and fostering collaboration in a dynamic team environment. Previous experience in HPC processes, procedures and working practices would be beneficial.

Senior Transport Planner

At Gregory Distribution, we are currently seeking an experienced Senior Transport Planner in our busy Bridgwater Depot. This position involves complete planning and scheduling for the Bridgwater operation and ensuring that the customer's requirements are met.

The position of Senior Transport Planner involves:

• Oversee the Management of planning, organising and supervising the activities and resources of the business.
• Planning and organising the activities of the Transport Operation, including the transition between the customers' peak and off-peak activity periods.
• Planning loads (inbound and outbound) delivery for the operation whilst monitoring KPI for delivery on time, shift revenue and vehicle utilisation.
• Managing and de-briefing drivers.
• Ensuring that vehicle activity is planned in the most efficient manner.
• Meeting daily revenue targets per shift per vehicle.
• Meeting on a regular basis with Line Managers to ensure that we are operating efficiently.
• Identifying and developing additional areas where we can add value to existing contracts.
• Ensuring that all contracted work is covered in line with customer expectations.
• Communicating collection times and delivery bookings with customers.
• Adherence to policies and procedures within the Business Area.
• The boundaries prescribed by HACCP must be observed, where relevant, at all times.
• Company Safe Systems of Work must be observed and followed at all times. This includes maintaining standards of personal hygiene, as detailed in SSOW and Company Rules Book, especially wearing of uniform and PPE at all times.

Essential Skills required for Senior Transport Planner:

• Previous experience of working within the logistics industry.
• Previous planning experience.
• Have a good understanding of legal compliance, driver's hours and WTD's.
• Leadership Skills.
• Track record of leading successful change.
• Proven experience in customer relationship management.
• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• IT literate including MS Office. Strong analytic ability in review data and reports.

At Cavendish Nuclear we're working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Senior Quantity Surveyor at our Hinkley Point C site.

This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station's vast network of rooms.

The role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. You will be leading a team of Quantity Surveyors and Apprentices to commercially deliver services and Work Task Orders on site at Hinkley Point C from 'kick-off' meetings to final account.

Day-to-day, you'll responsible for monitoring and reporting, preparing cost advice, drafting contract communications including Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events, amongst assisting with audit and cost verification events; all integral towards driving commercial performance of various contracts within the scope of the Alliance.

• Provide commercial support on site to Multi-Disciplinary Teams
• Assist with the audit and cost verification activities including close out of Task Order of Defined Cost
• Prepare field change Cost Advice for the Area
• Ensuring compliant management of scope change; all Compensation Events (CEs) are validated and recorded in CEMAR.
• Review the weekly cost report from Power BI for responsible Task Orders and alert any discrepancies to Commercial Lead
• Support and foster a positive Nuclear Safety Culture (NSC)

This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week, and is based at Hinkley Point C, near Bridgwater providing hybrid working arrangements with three days in the office/on site and two days working from home.

Essential experience of the Senior Quantity Surveyor

• Proven track record in large-scale projects, leading teams with a "can do" attitude preferably in the nuclear or similar regulated sector
• Working knowledge of NEC contracts and contract management software (CEMAR)
• Experienced in facilitating client audit of Defined Cost and providing record / cost verification
• Ability to make decisions within delegated authority and prioritise team workload
• Experience in working in a joint ventures/alliance environment is desirable

Qualifications for the Senior Quantity Surveyor

• Preferably educated to degree level in a relevant subject (e.g. RICS or construction management) or equivalent level qualification or relevant experience
