Singapore Badminton Association – Sparring Partner / Coach Assistant
The Singapore Badminton Association (SBA) is Singapore's national governing body. To support the National Singles Team's daily training environment, the SBA aims to engage the services of a Sparring Partner / Coach Assistant. This role combines sparring partner services with coaching and mentoring National Team Players at international competitions.
Key responsibilities and main tasks and activities:
· Assist National Coaches with the planning and delivery of National Singles Team training.
· Act as Sparring Partner when required.
· Travel to international competitions to coach and mentor National Team Players.
· The Coach Assistant reports to the Singles Head Coach.
The successful candidate shall possess the following attributes:
· A minimum of 3 years of Sparring Partner experience in an elite-level badminton setting.
· Competitive with top World Ranked 75 -100 players
· Bring high quality sparring for all national players
· A clear understanding of annual planning and periodisation principles in the sport of Badminton and how they can be applied across the developing players
· Holds the BWF Level 1 qualification or equivalent as a minimum.
· Candidates should have strong communication skills. Be fluent in English as the primary language
· Prepared to go the extra mile for Singapore national team players
Singapore Badminton offers a matching salary that reflects our interest in attracting the right candidate: S$2,800-S$3,500 per month.
