The Prospect Vale Primary School Team are seeking to appoint a Midday Assistant to lead and develop the lunchtime experience for our special children.

You will organise the supervision of the children, encouraging young children to eat their food, assisting with the development of healthy choices and good table manners. You would also organise the supervision of hand washing, cleaning up of spillages and ensuring the dining room and tables are clean and lunchtime equipment is put away. If you are hardworking and have a calm and positive manner this may be the job for you.

We are delighted to be recruiting an assistant psychologist to join our adult community team in Huntingdon. The Huntngdon Adult Locality Team (HALT) is a multi-disciplinary secondary care community mental health team that offers interventions for people with severe and enduring mental health conditions (namely psychotic illnesses, bipolar disorder, PTSD, depression, and anxiety disorders). You will work alongside an 8A psychologist, and band 7 psychologist, and trainee clinical psychologist.

Job Summary

Please note salary will be pro-rated for part-time and term-time hours.

This position is temporary.

You will provide support to children and young people with additional support needs within Westerton Primary school.

You will be responsible for the personal care needs of pupils and under the direction of the class/subject teacher, you will help pupils with specific learning activities and to follow instructions and organise their work. When required you will provide supervision for pupils outwith the classroom for eg in the playground, corridors, dining area, during PE and organised school trips.

You will have a pleasant tolerant manner and a proven capacity to establish positive relationships with children and young people. Experience of working with children and young people with additional support needs and an interest in their development is essential.

A relevant qualification in childcare is desirable.
