Contribute a range of psychological services to the clients of the Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD), under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist. Undertake psychological screening, assessment and interventions with children and their parents/carers presenting with a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties; this will include producing reports, direct and indirect individual and group work. Work independently to an appropriate level, under supervision and abiding by the professional guidelines and code of conduct for registered clinical psychologists. Support research activity including audit, service evaluation, literature reviews and research as required and in agreement with the Clinical Psychology Lead and managers of the service. The post-holder is responsible for his/her own workload, but is expected to engage with regular supervision from a qualified Clinical Psychologist and review through the management process.

- Identifying the needs & abilities of our residents and delivering excellent person centred care.
- Supporting & encouraging our residents to remain as independent as possible.
- Checking on residents on a regular basis - moving & positioning if required
- Providing elements of personal care including washing & undressing where needed.
- Building relationships and providing companionship - getting to know our residents!
- Working in a team to create a co-operative, friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the home.

As a Health Club Assistant, you will assist in the running of a member-only leisure facility. You will aid members through their fitness journey, whether that be providing tips or simply aiding their use of machines as well as carrying out admin duties. What will I be doing?

As a Health Club Assistant at The Barnstaple Hotel you will be the first point of contact for members. You’ll offer a warm welcome, making yourself available and approachable to members should they need your assistance. You’ll communicate with potential members, giving them information and help guide them through the signing-up process. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Welcoming guests and members with a friendly face at all times, signing them in and out of the club
First point of contact for all guest enquiries via telephone, email, face-to-face and social media
Depending on the shift pattern you may be responsible for opening /closing the club
Cleaning duties including swimming pool testing and maintaining equipment
Processing Membership sign-ups
Liaising with all departments including the management team
Taking payments and processing memberships and member sessions
Taking orders and serving food and beverages through the Aqua Bar
Maintaining public areas to a high standard of cleanliness

To successfully fill this role as a Health Club Assistant at The Barnstaple Hotel you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

Previous experience in a similar environment and role would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided
