Responsibilities:
- Create custom signs using various materials and techniques
- Operate sign-making equipment such as vinyl cutters, plotters, and printers
- Prepare surfaces for sign installation, including cleaning, sanding, and priming
- Install signs and decals on various surfaces, such as walls, windows, and vehicles
- Maintain inventory of sign-making materials and supplies
- Ensure quality control by inspecting finished signs for accuracy and durability

Skills/Qualifications:
- Experience in sign making is preferred but not essential as training will be given.
- Familiarity with various sign-making techniques, such as vinyl prep and digital printing
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Salary dependant on skills and experience. We welcome applicants with or without experience.

Note: This position may require heavy lifting, occasional working at height and occasional work outdoors.

Ibstock PLC - Apprenticeship
We are currently recruiting for a Materials Science Management Trainee (Degree – Level 6) to join our team at our Nostell Factory in Wakefield.

Location: Swine Ln, Nostell, Wakefield WF4 1QH

- 15 minute drive from Wakefield centre
- 30 minute drive from Barnsley or Doncaster

The Degree Apprenticeship takes 4 years to complete – gaining a level 6 qualification in Materials.
This apprenticeship starting salary is £20,880 per annum.
This programme offers you the chance to train for a highly skilled role, gain a nationally recognised qualification and get paid while you learn!
Upon completion of the programme you will have attained the skills and knowledge to start your career with Ibstock Group as an Assistant Technical Manager or Production Team Leader at one of our factories.
All your accommodation and travel expenses for your programme will be paid for and we will also encourage your continued professional development after you have qualified.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will be a key member of the Operational team at the factory, supporting with compliance to our Quality, Energy and Environmental management systems.


Sampling/ testing, and analysis of all raw materials and finished product
Carry out quality, environmental and energy measurements/checks
Collation, processing and analysing key performance data across the manufacturing process
Assist in the development of Safe Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments
Analysing complaints from our customers

Essential requirements:

Are you practical and willing to be hands-on, with drive and passion to gain real-life experience with a market leading manufacturer and earn money whilst you do so?
You will have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s at Grade 4-9 (or equivalent) in Mathematics, English and a Science.
A-levels or the equivalent of 112 UCAS points (preferably in Mathematics or Science or Scientific discipline).
A full UK driving licence is advantageous, with the flexibility to travel across the country if required.
