Job Summary:  Responsible for supporting department with daily operations, administrative tasks, and projects. This position typically works under close supervision and direction. Looking for an intern familiar with Contracts, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Analytics, and Program Management. This person will work with the strategic sourcing team to refresh supplier segmentation, execute outline agreements, integrate suppliers with our SIOP process, and assist in rationalizing our supply base.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete comprehensive supplier segmentation mapping,
• Work with the commodity managers to identify priority list to offload appropriate suppliers.
• Execute supplier offload plan.
• Maintain Supplier Enablement action tracker.
• Map out OLA creation (supplier & value).
• Qualify QBR responses (internal & external).
• Participate in SIOP Supply communications w/ Suppliers.

• Enrollment in a four year college degree program
• Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and written.
• Excellent organization skills, follow-through, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries RF/mm-Wave Reference Design Team is looking for a motivated Electrical Engineering student to join our team for summer 2024. We will work together to solve challenging RF/mm-Wave circuit problems. 

Essential Responsibilities include:

• Design and tape-out mm-Wave reference circuits on internal test chips and MPWs.
• Use industry-standard design tools to perform schematic design, physical layout, parasitic extractions, pre- and post-layout simulations, and Elector-Magnetic (EM) simulations.
• Perform circuit optimizations to meet performance requirement.
• Collaborate with design leads on multiple concurrent projects.  

Other Responsibilities:

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

• Education - MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline. 
• Must have transistor level circuit design understanding.  
• Knowledge and experience with RF/mm-Wave circuit design. 
• Proficient with Cadence based EDA tools.
• Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal) 
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• MS/PhD in RF, mm-Wave, Mixed-Signal, Analog IC design field 
• Knowledge of RF transceiver building block design (PA, LNA, VCO, PLL, MIX, VGA, Filter, etc.) 
• Knowledge of RF CMOS technologies (Bulk, SOI) is preferred.  
• Prior related internship or co-op experience
• Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
• Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills 
• Strong planning & organizational skills

Summary of Role: 

This internship will support the Product Marketing Team with a technical writing focus to enhance GF product messaging assets, including and not limited to, product briefs, PR announcements, website copy, and social media posts.  The ideal candidate will have a background with interest in writing about product positioning and technical processes with an engineering focus.  The objective of this role is to assist with translating product nomenclature into a written format that GF Commercial, Communications, and Marketing teams can use in external facing assets and discussions.

Essential Responsibilities include:

• Technical copywriting
• PR support
• Website development (non-coding)
• Media support for social media and technical press

Other Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:

• Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Marketing, Communications, Engineering or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.
• Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
• Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
• Travel - Up to 10%
• Ability to work 40 hours during summer per week during the internship.

Anticipated Skill Set:
