We are looking for a talented trainer to join our team and participate in the delivery of training across the Voyage Care Group utilising various methods of delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring all employees are trained in line with legislation, contractual agreements, Policy and Procedure and individual need.

As a trainer you should be able to work within a team and on your own initiative delivering training and developing bespoke training packages in line with the needs of the business and the people we support.

Responsibilities of the role:

1. To support the Learning and Development Team by working as a member of the team in developing and fulfilling training strategies for the company to support its business objectives.

2. To actively participate in the development, planning and delivery of induction programmes, mandatory, value based and specialism training (including Specialist Behavioral Support Service, new development and acquisition inductions) throughout the company in various locations, utilising different methods of delivery to ensure the appropriate level of training to meet the company objectives.

3. To liaise with both internal and external SME’s to ensure existing content is kept up to date with current legislation, standards and company policy.

4. To actively participate in the delivery of training provision and development opportunities for all staff across the company, ensuring the most effective use of resources and appropriateness of delivery.

5. To work with the Senior Training Team ensuring training programmes are in place, available corporately and locally to meet individual and service need requirements that are reviewed in line with current practice and trends.

6. To maintain accurate course attendance and training records using the systems available within the business.

7. To evaluate effectiveness of learning materials and update these accordingly.

8. To contribute to all aspects of training and assessment throughout the organisation to ensure a fully qualified workforce, compliant with the National Minimum Standards, Regulatory Requirements and Policy & Procedure.

9. To provide operations with advice, support and guidance regarding training and assist with the development of new services and newly recruited staff throughout the organisation.

10. To support the Learning and Development Team with the development of innovative, flexible and appropriate initiatives to meet the company’s training needs.

What we're looking for:

Essential:

Good general level of education including English and Maths to GCSE standard

Level 3 Award in Education & Training, PTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent

2 years experience in a training role

Developed and delivered training for employees at various levels

Evaluation and assessment of training

Different training and assessment methods (including remote and classroom delivery)

Knowledge of learning disabilities, autism, brain injury rehabilitation and mental health

Good working knowledge of regulatory requirements, legislation, policies, procedures and business processes

Desirable:

Relevant Health and Social Care qualification / current knowledge

Relevant management/professional qualification

Training requirements associated with the Care Standards/Act

Lead Internal Quality Assurer (Maternity Cover)

LOCATION: Remote | REPORTING TO: National Quality Manager

Main Purpose of the Role

To have overall responsibility for internal quality assurance of provision within the area of responsibility. To implement and support monitoring and applying compliance with SCL’s Gold Standards. To maintain and improve SCL’s quality certifications and direct claim status. This will include leading and supporting inspections and audits conducted by external agencies and to support the self-assessment process to promote quality improvement across all divisions.

Key Responsibilities

The IQA will lead in the delivery and assessment of high-quality learning and qualifications for learners and drive robust IQA processes for Study programmes. The IQA will ensure learners achieve their planned learning aim and make progression. The IQA will work with SCL’s Director of Quality, National Quality Manager and Quality Improvement team to ensure the wider SCL quality strategy is implemented. The IQA will manage and collect feedback from learners on programme and monitor quality of delivery within the programmes on offer and report changes in quality and compliance on trends on the learner journey to the National Quality Manager.

Key Skills

• Level 5 Teaching qualification.
• 5+ years’ experience of BTEC and/or NCFE delivery and assessment.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask and influence.
• Able to build working relationships at senior level.
• GCSE English and Maths (C or above or key skill equivalent)
• Competent in Microsoft packages and the ability to pick up systems quickly)
• Highly organised and experienced in managing high pressured events.
• Able to travel nationally when required.
