The Student Trainee (Transportation Program Specialist) Pathways Intern will:

• Assist the Office Director in oversight of FTA-funded projects and provides project management advice and direction to regional programs to assist in the implementation and completion of capital, operating and planning grants. be responsible for the oversight aspects and project management aspects of FTA projects. Maintains records for grantees regarding project status, Triennial Reviews (TR), FTA grantee reviews, audits, and maintains computer program tracking system on each.
• Assist the Office Director in the review of grant applications for planning, capital and operating assistance. be responsible for developing and recommending for approval grant amendments, letters of no prejudice, advance construction authority, and other financial assistance instruments pursuant to 49 USC 5307, 5309, and other grant sections, and appropriate provisions of Title 23 USC. Consider all current requirements and documents the rationale for approval, rejection or other action.
• Prepare briefing papers, statistical and narrative reports on a broad range of regional office and grantee activities and in support of policy and procedural decisions for use by the Regional Administrator and/or headquarters.
• Review financial and progress reports on capital, operating and planning projects and determines whether project is proceeding as scheduled. Prepare correspondence asking for further explanations on deviations or problems, if required, as a basis for corrective action.

VA Illiana Health Care System is currently seeking outstanding full-time Family Practice or Internal Medicine trained physicians to join our Community Based Primary Care Clinic team in our Peoria Clinic. This incumbent will be responsible to provide comprehensive care, under the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model, to a panel of patients managed under PCMM guidelines. The incumbent is expected to be attentive to patient education, preventive care and be able to work well in an interdisciplinary team to provide high quality primary care. The incumbent will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care by performing duties to include, but not limited to the below responsibilities:

• Manages chronic conditions, evaluates and treats inter-current medical conditions
• Collaborates with a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) to provide accessible, comprehensive, coordinated, continuous care to an assigned panel of patients
• Performs a variety of disease prevention related activities including gender and age specific screenings, mental health screenings, and health promotion activities.
• Screens for, evaluates and treats uncomplicated common mental health disorders, including depression and common addictions, with referrals made to mental health providers for further evaluation and treatment as appropriate
• Primary care physicians will have responsibility for supervision of or collaboration with primary care mid-level providers
• Physicians are expected to provide clinical oversight and to participate in peer review of other primary care providers through periodic chart reviews
• Primary care physicians will act as surrogates for absent primary care providers when needed, to include review of CPRS view alerts
• Primary care physicians will regular attend primary care staff meetings, departmental meetings and medical staff meetings
• Timely documentation (notes and encounter forms) is necessary in all areas in accordance with facility policy. All administrative work should be completed in a timely fashion
• Clinical reminders should be addressed as medically appropriate. Quality of care should meet professional standards at all times

Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) Authorized: This position is eligible for EDRP, a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of your start date. Financial Institution Interns will be assigned to the Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection (DCP).  Interns will work directly on teams with experienced FDIC employees to evaluate FIDC-insured institutions' compliance with fair lending and consumer protection laws and regulations.  These teams are responsible for assessing financial institutions to determine whether they are maintaining effective controls and procedures, managing their institutions effectively, and complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including those relating to consumer protection, privacy, community reinvestment, and fair lending.

Under the direction and supervision of an Examiner or a higher grade team member, the incumbent will participate in and/or independently perform the following:

Assesses the adequacy and determines the strength of the Compliance Management System (senior management oversight; compliance program, including the elements of policies, monitoring, and training; and audit procedures) to ensure ongoing compliance as related to the particular regulation under review.  Conducts reviews and assessments of the following: 

• Examine initial disclosures, periodic statements, advertisements, and other information to evaluate procedures and reviews for compliance with applicable regulations.
• Examine closed-end non-real estate credit transactions for compliance with applicable regulations.
• Review the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act loan application register for accuracy and assesses the bank's overall reporting procedures.
• Review adverse action notices for compliance, and to gain a cursory exposure to applicable lending-related regulations.
• Examine a sample of residential, consumer, commercial and/or agricultural files to determine compliance with consumer laws and regulations.

Reviews applicable regulations and examination manual to become informed about the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).

Participates in discussing the overall examination process including evaluating the bank's Compliance Management System (senior management oversight; compliance program, including the elements of policies, monitoring, and training; and audit procedures).  Asks questions to gain clarification and understanding of examination policies and procedures.

• Observes the interactions between the FDIC and Bank personnel.
• Responds to questions from other examiners regarding his/her section of the Report of Examination.
• Reviews the CRA of an institution and participates in discussion for assigning its rating.
• Prepares a summary of each performance factor describing why rating was assigned.
• With the assistance of an experience examiner, participates in meetings as appropriate.
• After the meeting, asks questions and discusses exam findings with the examiner-in-charge or higher graded team member.
