Are you an overseas midwife looking to relocate and work in the UK? Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust are looking to welcome applications from internationally trained midwives looking to further progress their midwifery careers in the UK.
We would welcome applications from midwives who are in the process of obtaining their NMC registration. To apply candidates will need to provide evidence of IELTS / OET and passed their CBT to NMC standards.

The post holder will complete the agreed LMS preceptorship package with support and as part of their professional development and transition to Band 6.
During the preceptorship period the midwife will have the opportunity to provide care across the perinatal pathway in a variety of settings. To act as a clinical role model and practice autonomously within the parameters of local and national guidance and sphere of professional practice, adhering at all times to The Code for Nurses and Midwives (NMC, 2018) and working within the policies and standards detailed by the Trust.

Here at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS trust we are seeking midwives who are due to qualify as band 5 midwives to come and join our outstanding team. At our trust we offer a robust preceptorship programme with the support of our multidisciplinary team including clinical midwifery educators. At the time of appointment, we offer supernumerary shifts and an extensive preceptorship programme which includes all the training requirements you require to work at the highest level as band 5 midwife. CHFT is a forward-thinking trust and we would support you in the transition to becoming a band 6 midwife.

To work as part of a multidisciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner, providing high quality, holistic midwifery and public health care / education to women and their families in a range of settings in the community; maternity unit and Birth Centre.
