SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an English as a Second Language (ESL) Instructor and curriculum developer for the Air War College Preparatory Course, the Air Command and Staff College Preparatory Course, and the Squadron Officer School Preparatory Course.

DUTIES:

• ESL Instructor. Teaches Communication Skills lessons for International Military Students (IMS) attending graduate level USAF Professional Military Education (PME) and for IMS dependents attending the International Dependents English Course.
• ESL Curriculum Developer. Originates and develops ESL materials for IOS classes to meet the communicative requirements of IMSs having relatively little experience with American English, as well as those having relatively greater fluency in English and US Air Force terminology.
• Scholarship/Service. Uses ESL expertise to engage in scholarship by researching and implementing effective ESL teaching and learning strategies and technologies.

• Collects monthly Performance Indicator data from the various branches and sections. Compiles the data and prepares trend charts. Schedules and facilitates the monthly Quality Assurance meeting and prepares minutes. Identifies and analyzes negative trends,
• Oversees Fraud, Waste and Abuse Program. Focal point for fraud prevention measures.
• Determines the methods to be used in conducting Quality Assurance Reviews.
• Attends and participates in all Comptroller staff meetings, and branch level meetings when requested to do so.

• Manages Knowledge Operations Access.
• Performs Web Administration.
• Manages Knowledge Utilization
• Develops and writes web-based coding.
