• Works as a senior team member responsible for the development, design and implementation of logistics related initiatives/projects/programs and associated workload/assignments.
• Performs a variety of activities regarding data analytics that are subjective in nature and require an understanding of the single item of supply principles that provides the foundation for the U.S. Federal Catalog System.
• Performs a variety of tasks to assist in program development and/or enhancements to existing data information systems such as the Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS) and several NATO Logistics Systems/Applications.
• Develop/create statistical data that may include using databases and manipulating data files to extract data elements to support decisions and/or recommendations proposed to measure mission effectiveness.
• Collaborates initiatives for achievement of desired goals and accomplishments.
• Defines/assigns work to be accomplished within prescribed target dates.

The duties of the position may include but are not limited to:

• Incumbent operates one or more types of patient transport vehicles, including emergency vehicles, patient transport vans/buses and other types transport vehicles, capable of carrying up to 8 or more passengers, to and from VA Medical Center facilities, private healthcare facilities, and other private sector areas like patient homes, railway, bus stations and airports.
• Incumbent drives predetermined and/or scheduled routes or special runs. Arrives at and departs from pick up and discharge points at scheduled times.
• Operates the doors to allow passengers to enter and leave the vehicle. Read installation maps and judges road/traffic conditions to determine the shortest and safest route.
• Provide friendly, polite, and courteous service. Enforce passenger safety and seatbelt use. Check I.D. cards to ensure authorization of passengers as required.
• Responsibilities are to safely transport patients in a manner that minimizes disruption to personnel and ensure maximum comfort during travel.
• Knows and abides by rules, laws and traffic regulations pertaining to state laws.
• When transporting patients, the incumbent must be able to load and unload patients safely.
• Makes trip to medical facilities, homes, railway, bus stations and airport.
• Use multiple variations of Mobile Data Computer (MDC) in and out of the vehicles for assigned trips and duties daily.
• Employee required to deal with patients, families of patients, charge nurses, doctors and other medical staff in a professional and courteous manner.
• Incumbent loads and unloads patients, medical supplies and may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
• Incumbent may operate a stretcher van, 1-ton wheelchair van, a passenger van, a large passenger bus, Dual Use Vehicles and other vehicles as assigned and needed to transport patients.

The Dialysis (RN) is a professional nurse with specialized knowledge and skills who demonstrates proficiency when providing and directing care for patients with end-stage renal disease, acute kidney injury, and late-stage chronic kidney disease. Collaborates with other disciplines/departments to achieve desired patient outcomes. Functions as primary nurse for ESRD patient panel and serves as key resource assisting patients navigate the healthcare system. Completes documentation for all clinical and technical recordkeeping in the electronic health record and treatment flowsheets in accordance with established policies and procedures. Monitors, tracks/trends, and reports ongoing care continuity needs and outcomes to the interdisciplinary team. The nurse will assist in directing the provision of nursing education, orientation, competencies and providing quality improvement and enhance outcomes utilization. This nurse integrates knowledge, skills, abilities, and judgment and is self-directed in goal setting for managing complex situations.

PRACTICE: Delivers self-directed, professional nursing practice using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation) for complex patients based on conscious and deliberate planning with occasional supervision.
