Responsible for the oversight of transportation and grounds programs, ensuring that the Medical Center patients using Manchester's shuttle system are transported to other Medical Centers in the safest possible manner, that deliveries/pickups are made daily to internal customers as necessary, and that the Medical Centers grounds are maintained in a safe and aesthetically pleasing state at all times. Major duties and responsibilities include:

We are looking for a unique individual to support with the difficult task of changing the bandages of our 15 year male client who suffers from a chronic skin condition called Epidermolysis bullosa (EB). The client has bandages over the majority of his body which are covering open wounds and blisters which require specific care to avoid infection. This is an extremely painful procedure and the client has specific pain medication prescribed to help with this. There will also always be a carer present who knows the client well to provide him with emotional support and reassurance throughout the process. This task is currently completed by his Dad who understandably finds it very difficult and, now his son is older would like to be able to train up someone else to support with this task. We are looking for:

• Someone who is committed long term as training could take up to 6 months before the person is confident in doing this task alone.
• Someone who is able to focus on the task at hand and remain detached from their feeling and emotions.

Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for the following:

• Understand and update member communications (using input from specialists) such as (but not limited to) Summary Funding Statements, Member Reports, Retiree
• Generate ad hoc communications and newsletters when requested
• Work on projects to help improve member engagement
• Lead administrator of benefits payable for death in service, liaising with third parties, family members and beneficiaries. Preparation of documents to be presented to the Trustee for consideration.
• Deal confidently with pension scheme enquiries by email and letter and phone.
• Project work as directed by Manager
• Full responsibility for managing and completing allocated work within the team.
• Checking and authorising other team members' work.

Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

• Previous experience within a similar role dealing with pension scheme communications, calculations and enquiries
• Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in the Pensions industry
• Be able to demonstrate ownership, responsibility and accountability for self
• Be organised, methodical and logical in approach to delegated responsibilities
• Able to assist with developing a culture of high standards, excellent quality and customer responsiveness

Your new role
Reporting to and assisting the HR Director and working closely with the HR Advisor on all HR related tasks and administration, you will contribute to the smooth running of the HR function.

• To provide administration support and assistance with all aspects of the employee lifecycle
• Respond to HR related queries from employees
• Assist with the administering of the payroll
• Ensure processes are administered in accordance with the firm's procedures and policies
• Maintain HR software, records and employee files, ensuring that all documentation is prepared to the highest quality and accuracy
• Co-ordinate training sessions, sending out invitations and course material to delegates
• Keep training and evaluation records up to date
• Ensure the highest possible level of HR service
• Become involved in HR projects as allocated during the course of the year e.g. wellbeing initiatives and HR system improvements
• Carry out other HR duties and tasks as and when required.

Working hours: 40 / week, 9am-5pm Monday-Friday (including 1 hour lunch). Beyond the 1st few weeks, you will be able to WFH 50% per fortnight and 50% based in their Southampton office.

What you'll need to succeed

You must have at least 18 months experience in an HR / People Administrator or Assistant role as part of an HR team, ideally having worked in a corporate, professional services environment. You must be CIPD qualified (level 3 minimum) or be working towards this with the experience above.
