Description

Establish Governance and Build Knowledge

• Facilitate an information security governance structure through the implementation of a hierarchical governance program, including the formation of an information security steering committee or advisory board.

Duties

• Incumbent serves as a member of the VACO General Post Fund Review Committee which reviews and approves the distribution of available resources to the field facilities.
• Provides program and technical support to Central Office, regional offices and medical center directors to maintain a high level of program activity.
• Supervises research and special projects directed towards utilizing information and data from the system to maintain and expand the program.
• Develops, coordinates and evaluates the training program required to operate the program successfully.
• Identifies the training needs and develops appropriate training experiences; and determines to what extent training improves performance.
• Develops guidelines and resource material to support institutionalizing methods in which VA can receive and act on VSO resolutions and other Issues in an expeditious and organized fashion.
• Serves as the principal representative, staff advisor and points of contact with Veterans Service Officers (VSOs) for the Under Secretary for Health.
• Develops, administers and coordinates a variety of organizational and operational issues that impact the work of the Voluntary Service Office.

Strategy

• The TB Cash Client Service Management function reports to TB Cash COO. The Client Service Strategy and Initiatives role focuses on delivering our Client Service strategy by supporting and executing key initiatives under the Fit For Growth (FFG) programme to improve client experience, expand our digital servicing offering and deliver project benefits; this includes:
• Defining clear business requirements and target state processes in line with the relevant risk frameworks
• Partnering with technology to deliver a fit-for-client solution and providing end user validation
• Driving client adoption and defining a unified measurement approach that helps us demonstrate success

Business

• Develop a structured plan and approach that will enable project delivery and minimise project risk
• Independently undertake business analysis and process design activity in support of FFG transformation initiatives
• Support the implementation and adoption of digital service functionality across CIB clients and frontline Service teams
• Identify opportunities to optimize the current Service Operating model and its processes
• Ensure alignment between the feature / functionality design and broader strategic direction

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• The Section Chief is a leadership position that is responsible for all aspects of primary care delivery within the defined section, and supervision of staff. In conjunction with the Associate Chief and Chief of Primary Care, the Section Chief is responsible for:
• Planning, organizing, developing, implementing, controlling and refining comprehensive patient management/clinical support within clinic.
• Provides services, technical counsel, and leadership guidance necessary to section staff. to meet the care and treatment needs of patients within the clinic.
• Should be a forward-thinking physician who embraces primary care delivered via Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model.
• Maintaining records of meetings that include reports of conclusions, data recommendations, responsible person, actions taken, and an evaluation of effectiveness of actions taken as appropriate.
• Developing policies and procedures to assure effective management, ethics, safety, communication, and quality within the section and between Primary Care and other services as appropriate.
• Review at least annually privilege templates for each service and make recommendation to the Chief or Associate Chief as needed for modifications.
• Provides a full range of services including assessment and using the most appropriate techniques in providing quality care in their subspecialty.
• Perform appropriate evaluations, diagnosis and treatment of patients.
• Provide a full range of therapeutic interventions in units/programs in the Hampton VA Medical Center to which they are assigned and has clinical privileges to practice including diagnostic assessment, medication evaluation and management.
