Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with Autism spectrum conditions, ensuring their individual needs are met.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs).
- Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive and engaging learning atmosphere.
- Participate in regular training and professional development sessions.

Requirements:
- Experience working with young people with Autism spectrum conditions and other complex communication needs.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or special needs support.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Protocol Education are currently recruiting for a Cognitive & Sensory Teaching Assistant to work in a thriving secondary school based in central Bristol.

The school is popular choice for many students and families across Bristol and has a exemplary music curriculum and sixth form. The school caters for students from 11- 18 years and has a fantastic SEND & Pastoral team to support a variety of needs.

The school are looking for someone to be able to support a student on a 1:1 level with their cognitive learning and sensory needs. You will be working to support the student academically and socially to support their confidence in learning and cognitive development, as well as using approaches and strategies that work holistically for the child to support their sensory and gross motor skills.

You will work closely with the SENCO and SEND team to support the student's EHCP plan and training will be provided specifically for this role.
