Nightingale Community Academy is a special school in Wandsworth for 120 boys aged 5 to 19 with social emotional and mental health needs.
Primary pupils benefit from a purpose-built classroom hub and outdoor adventure playground and access to weekly music lessons and a comprehensive therapy service. Secondary and post-16 students are offered a broad curriculum including vocational courses such as motor vehicle studies, construction, horticulture and hospitality. The School Admissions/Examination Officer is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the School Business Manager and Head Teacher, ensuring the smooth operation of the school office and the effective management of external examinations. This successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the school’s administrative and examination processes.
We are looking for an organised, detail-oriented, and proactive School Admissions/Examination Officer to join our team and help manage all aspects of the examination process, ensuring that our students have a smooth and efficient experience during exam seasons.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organise and manage the administration of all internal and external exams, including timetabling, rooming, and invigilation
• Ensure adherence to all relevant examination regulations, including those set by awarding bodies, and ensure the security and confidentiality of all exam materials
• Liaise with external exam boards to coordinate the delivery and receipt of exam papers and results
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of exam invigilators
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of exam entries, results, and student special requirements
• Provide students with the necessary information regarding exam dates, venues, and any adjustments they may be entitled to
• Handle post-exam processes such as results collection and the management of enquiries about results (EARs)
• Support the Senior Leadership Team with any administrative tasks related to assessments and reporting
Key Requirements:
• GCSE Maths and English
• Strong school administration and Exams Officer experience
• Proven experience in an administrative or exams-related role, ideally within an educational setting
• Knowledge of examination regulations and procedures
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
