We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join us.
In athenaCollector we build technology solutions that automate (RCM) Revenue Cycle Management. This Collector team is implementing the underlying medical back-office processes to automate and integrate the unique claims cycle requirements.
The Team: Our athenaCollector – Submissions team builds code builds one of the key foundational components of getting claims to payers. We ensure millions of claims are validated and sorted into bundles and sent off to hundreds of different destinations. Our platform is at the core of athenahealth requiring our system to have high uptime with redundancies and quick recovery. We pride ourselves in high quality, innovation, passion, and collaboration as a team who supports the baseline.
Job Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy high-quality code to production environments as a member of an Agile team.
Collaborate inclusively with cross-functional team members to promote productivity and delivery while adhering to engineering best practices.
Develop knowledge to act as a domain expert, share business and technical insights with the broader engineering and product organization.
Troubleshoot production and non-production issues to resolve and reduce future risks.
Technical Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
4+ years of experience in an agile team developing backend or full-stack applications.
Hands on experience with Java, Spring, and related technologies, tools, and frameworks.
Experience working in an Agile environment at an enterprise level.
Knowledge of AWS and microservice architecture; experience in developing decoupled applications is preferred.
Knowledge of RESTful API, algorithms, and architecture patterns are helpful.
Knowledge of Perl is helpful.
