This position serves as a Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist for non-expendable (NX) assets/material in a VA Health Care System (VA HCS) and supported catchment area. • The Program Support Assistant will actively support clinic operations, including all aspects of clinic set up, cancellation, modification and usage. This position will oversee the process from start to finish, including working with Nursing Staff, Providers and Schedulers to ensure clinic space is available, coordinates and communicates with nursing staff, and ensures that scheduling instructions are relayed to all parties.

The James H. Quillen VA Medical Center is seeking a full-time board certified/board eligible non-invasive/clinical cardiologist. The candidate should be trained in all aspects of non-invasive/clinical cardiology. Non-invasive cardiology provides direct patient care through busy cardiology ward and cardiac critical care unit (CCU) inpatient consultation service, a robust non-invasive lab that performs state-of-the-art echocardiography (including strain and 3D imaging for structural interventions) and outpatient clinics. The candidate will engage in in-patient care, management of patients in cardiac critical care unit (CCU) and provide cardiology consultation services on an outpatient basis. The candidate will have outpatient clinic responsibilities to improve clinic access to veterans with cardiovascular disease by providing both direct care in the clinic, supervision of advanced practice providers, and supervision in the cardiology fellowship outpatient clinics. Strongly prefer a physician who will provide transthoracic, transesophageal, stress echocardiography and nuclear stress testing services in the cardiac non-invasive lab. The physician will engage with trainee education as part of the East Tennessee State University (ETSU) Cardiology Fellowship training program.

In this role, the incumbents will provide feedback and patient education to the patients and their families and demonstrate excellence in all facets of patient care and meets or exceeds compliance standards.
