Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Program Management
- The Management and Program Analyst is responsible for human resource processes, to include, but not limited to, entering recruitment requests, coordinate credentialing paperwork, and onboarding requirements such as Compensation Panel and computer access requests.
- He/she will assist the Service Administrative Officer in all matters pertaining to the periodic equipment inventory process. This will include working with Logistics and Biomed, and Engineering staff to locate, track, and appropriately disposition all equipment listed in the Service EIL's.
- The incumbent has oversight responsibility for the GIP/Purchasing process, ensuring that VAAAHS, National, and VISN 10 standards are met. He/she will implement corrections to the process if the standards are not met. This coordination will entail working directly with the Logistics GIP/Purchasing Agent, the Supply Technician, and the facility GIP Team.
Physician Coordination and Clinic Grids
- The incumbent is responsible for coordinating all aspects of Physician hiring for Ambulatory Care Services. This includes recruitment, retention, salary determination, credentialing, and privileging. Additionally, this person will be responsible for Physician Productivity measures in relation to other class 1a facilities; they will perform in-depth analysis/audits for areas below the 25% or above the 75% developing action plans for submission to COS and facility director.
- The incumbent will manage all activities related to the residency program. He/she will initiate all necessary organizational procedures involved in maintaining an active residency program. Close coordination with the University of Michigan is necessary to effectively execute these
responsibilities thus requiring the incumbent to develop and maintain a close working relationship with the Residency Program at the University of Michigan. He/she will facilitate the scheduling for diverse Patient Align Care Team (PACT) teaching exposures for learners. The incumbent will assist with modifying and building new clinic grids for Primary Care Providers.
Data Capture and Coordination
- The incumbent will independently manage, analyze, and coordinate all decisions associated with Decision Support Services (DSS) activities within the Service. These duties will include meeting with various Section Chiefs within the Service, DSS (Finance) staff, and staff within the Service to
strategize and apply a problem-solving approach to supply cost distribution and labor mapping.
- The incumbent will identify necessary changes in cost distribution related to RVU's and determine the appropriate corrections as necessary. He/she will also periodically but routinely review with staff labor and supply mapping and product costing in order to ensure accuracy. In addition, incumbent
will coordinate the completion of annua1 Physician Service Agreements as well as Agreements for incoming staff physicians.
Contract Coordination
The incumbent is responsible for the processes involved in the coordination of all contracts with the department. The creation of contracts consists of preparing the documentation required and submission through appropriate leadership channels. Contracts often require close consultation
with local Logistics and national Contracting staff to complete these processes, and the required maintenance of these agreements throughout the life of the contract. The incumbent will assist AO with equipment and procurement requests.
Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
