The Water Hygienist will provide expert advice and assurance on all matters of Water Safety through an Estates Service, serving the needs of University Hospital of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (UHDB) and partner organisations, ensuring that the needs and expectations of all stakeholders are met.

We are looking for a Retail Catering Assistant to support the new retail outlet at Florence Nightingale Community Hospital Derby .

Working shift Monday to Friday 08.30- 16.30 including bank holidays.

You will be responsible for working in the new retail outlet, preparing shop to open and serving Customers , stocking shelves, cleaning duties, and opening and closing the shop, recording till readings working as part of the Communities Facilities team .

At UHDB around 9,000 babies are born across our two sites each year at Royal Derby Hospital (RDH) and Queens Hospital Burton (QHB). Details of UHDB sites

We have three wards across two sites, with a total of 88 beds for antenatal, postnatal and induction of labour.

At Royal Derby Hospital there are:
• 17 delivery rooms including one pool room and bereavement suite.
• Four bedded Midwife led birth centre.
• Four bedded Obstetric Enhanced Care area and a two bedded assessment bay

Queens Hospital Burton has seven delivery rooms including one pool room and one bereavement suite.

Samuel Johnson Community Hospital is currently does not provide intrapartum care but runs as a community midwifery hub.

The Urology Department at Royal Derby Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a fixed-term Locally Employed Registrar CT2 starting on 15th January 2025 until 5th August 2025 with a possible extension to post. The department are looking for an enthusiastic experienced individual to join a forward thinking and proactive Urology team of 12 consultants, supporting in the delivery of a full range of urological services.

This post is designed to provide advanced experience in urological surgery. The successful appointee will be actively involved in supporting both emergency and elective urology activity including theatres, day case and outpatient clinics. The post holder will participate in the urology, trainee level on call rota. Whilst it is not a recognised training post, this post is well supervised and there are opportunities to learn and develop skills.

This post is to cover a specific period. The successful candidate must have completed all pre-employment checks and be available to commence 15th January 2025.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in the urology speciality, with the expectation that the post holder will undertake independent outpatient clinics, flexible cystoscopy sessions and act as first assistant in theatre. We are looking for a Specialty Doctor to join our General Medicine Team at the Royal Derby Hospital (University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust).

The post offers an exciting opportunity to train in the growing discipline of General Internal Medicine.

The post will commence with a fixed term Specialty Doctor contract in General Medicine for 12 months. Subject to satisfactory progress at the end of this first year the successful candidate will have the option to
progress to the Portfolio Programme which we would expect to require 3-5 years for completion in most cases. The contract will be reviewed annually and extended on a mutually agreed basis, based on
successful completion of required competencies at annual review



The contract is for 10 PAs per week (9 DCC and 1 SPA). Some SPA time is pre allocated (see section ‘EDUCATION AND TRAINING’). There is the option to add on a further 2 PA DCC if requested.

The post holder will be expected to prioritise and time-manage effectively according to the activity of the department and to utilise appropriately the available senior staff for advice. The Upper Limb Fellow will be directly involved in the day to day care of the Trauma & Orthopaedic patients admitted to their firm. There is a day to day commitment to clinics & operating sessions with the opportunity to experience the full spectrum of upper limb surgery including primary elbow and shoulder replacements along with shoulder, elbow and wrist arthroscopies. During each six month rotation you will work for either Mr Clark and Mr Cresswell (this also includes a day in the Pulvertaft Hand Unit) Mr Espag or Mr Tambe team

Independent elective operating may be possible as the appointee’s experience increases. The timetable may alter depending upon current needs however we will endeavor to utilise the cover sessions for upper limb related Clinics/Theatres and or trauma lists.
