Job Title: Internal Auditor

Location: Hybrid
Working from home with regular travel to services.Ideally you should be based in the Midlands.
Salary: £40,000
Key Purpose of the role:
To provide independent and objective audits, assessments & inspections across United Response’s portfolio of services, ensuring that our services are safe, effective, caring, responsive & well led. To ensure that our services are compliant with relevant regulations and standards such as those imposed by CQC, CIW, Ofsted, housing regulators and our commissioners.
Essential Criteria:
- Knowledge and experience of working within an audit / assurance function
- Knowledge and experience of working within adult specialist social care
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant regulatory requirements, including but not limited to CQC, CIW, Ofsted and housing regulators
- Knowledge of quality monitoring methods used by Local Authorities
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Passion for service improvements
- Strong communication and ability to support managers in improving service delivery
- Ability to work independently, but also to work well as part of a team
- Ability to organise time effectively, demonstrating flexibility in meeting changing priorities
- Proficiency in the use of technology and digital systems
- Ability to build rapport quickly and establish professional relationships based on trust and understanding
- Ability to work personably whilst able to hold individuals and teams to account when issues and concerns are identified, and remedial action is required.
