Supports all Warrior Athlete Readiness and Resilience (WARR) programming and services and Marine Corps Total Fitness (MCTF) strategy.  Performs and/or assists in the operation of the assigned recreation activity.  Based on established policies, incumbent carries out assigned phases of designated activity applying an understanding of the interest and needs of program participants.  Typical assignments may include applying rules and regulations in supervising assigned participants in indoor and outdoor activities, setting up gymnasiums and playing fields for sports events, conducting tours and field trips, preparing equipment, rosters, maintain government vehicles, creating information packets, and making phone calls and text messages. Demonstrates procedures common to the activities and instructs in the use of related equipment. Conducts instructional classes in the recreational area. Incumbent will frequently assist in the instruction of mountain bike trail rides, hikes, and surf lessons. Helps to plan and coordinate details of recreational activities and maintains related supplies.  Assists in planning, scheduling and publicizing various activities to attract and motivate participants. Events may involve frequent travel, working with large groups of people, and working frequent nights, weekends and holidays.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  Must be able to work within the given budget for specific events.  Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Purchase Card to make necessary purchases for program needs. May be responsible for facility cash handling.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Must support other programs within Semper Fit when called upon. Will maintain confidentially when collecting Personally Identifiable Information (PII), HIPPA, and other information.
Must have general knowledge of Microsoft Office: excel, word, power point, publisher, Outlook (email), Windows, and navigating the web.  Must have excellent oral and written communications skills. Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to successfully plan, organize and execute special events. Applicants must have the ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees, both inside and outside the organization. Must be able to work with little supervision.  Must have the ability to supervise large groups of people unassisted. Incumbent is required to obtain a CPR and first aid certification within the first three months of employment. Must have enough swimming experience to pass surf instructor certification requirements and be comfortable swimming in ocean water.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Applicants must be able to work nights and weekends. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. Adheres to safety regulations and standards.  Uses required safety equipment and observes safe work procedures.  Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Supports the store replenishment effort through coordinating general inventory and merchandise flow, partnering with Sales Managers to ensure replenishment is executed in a systematic, on-brand way. Ensures backroom standards are maintained. Responsible for coaching the activities of the replenishment team involved in the receipt, inspection, quality control, ticketing, picking, consolidation, storage, merchandise display, stocking, price marking and packing of merchandise in and out of the storage facilities. Reports to the Store Manager, Operations Manager, Backroom Manager or Sales Manager. 

Executes corporate backroom standards program to include physically inspecting merchandise, maintaining a high efficiency of the receiving, marking and checking process, movement of merchandise to the sales floor and the accurate flow of merchandise through all backroom functions. Partners with Sales Managers to determine available shelf space and amounts and location of merchandise to be displayed. Assures items are effectively merchandised in accordance with the Brand Integrity Team, accurately price marked and set according to merchandising standards. Assures rotation of stock to prevent spoilage and outdating of stock; marks down price of merchandise to move damaged or perishable stock. Arranges for return to vendor of items which are damaged, shipped in error or unsellable. Receives, locates, stores, ships and warehouses materials, commodities, or equipment in accordance with established procedures and operating requirements. Works with independence in determining sequences of loading and unloading, developing space utilization plans and implementing movement of materials. Assists Sales Managers and Brand Integrity Manager in the planning and execution of all corporate sales programs, promotions and other events where merchandise is involved.

Encourages and empowers all team members to identify opportunities to resolve customer problems and concerns before they happen. Communicates any outstanding problem resolution issues with the Experience Manager or Operations Manager. Understands and articulates all MCX value stories, programs and promotions. • You will perform one or more of the following functions: Pass and ID/Vehicle Registration, Police Records, Contractor Security, Visitors Center; Blotter Entry, Supply, Civilian Court, and/or Motor Transport Dispatch.
• In the Pass and ID section you will register vehicles, reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• In the Police Records section, you will record traffic citations in databases and assist the Base Magistrate, maintaining records.

• You will register vehicles aboard the installation and issue appropriate vehicle access passes.
• You will screen application and documentation presented for base long-term and temporary vehicle passes.
• You will record traffic citation data in various databases and adjudicated traffic citation upon customer walk-in or telephonic contacts, awarding the required number of points as identified in regulations.
• You will process contractors/vendors for local business/contractor base access passes.
• You will verify the applicant's identity, determine eligibility, base sponsor and prior history of pass issuance to ensure that the individual is authorized short-term access to the installation.
• You will receive and process Sponsored Visitor Forms.
• You will prepare, maintain and file the daily blotter and all relevant correspondence, records and documents, required by policy, governing the operation of the Provost Marshall Office.

Assists in the operations of a comprehensive recreational and military aquatics program. Provides input for budgets. Assists in emergency medical and rescue training, public education and other related educational and functional duties. Assists in the training of lifeguards and recreational swimming classes. Assists in the amphibious training and coaching of service members to include tactical strength and conditioning on land and stroke development in the water.  

Protects patrons from hazardous conditions by ensuring rules and regulations are enforced. Protects lives through aggressive prevention, preparedness, education, emergency medical, and rescue programs. Ensures all applicable rules and regulations pertaining to swimming pools observed. Performs water and land rescues equal to the standard of training when an emergency is taking place (e.g. drowning, medical or trauma in the water). Manages respiratory and cardiac emergencies to include performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), bag-valve-mask resuscitation, or automatic external defibrillation (AED). Uses and maintains care of emergency equipment such as specialized kits and rescue bags, backboards, suction devices, splints, stretchers, oxygen delivery systems, and monitoring equipment. Controls external bleeding with direct pressure and treats shock. Splints and immobilizes fractures and dislocations for transport. Attempts to ascertain whether the patron has preexisting medical problems and to obtain critical medical history information from the patron. 

Responsible for the supervision and safety of the aquatics staff. Aids employees with suggestions, complaints, and other personnel matters. Informs subordinates of new methods of accomplishing assignments. Conducts screening of prospective staff. Supervises grades NF-01 through NF-03 (and equivalent) staff to include: assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, training and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave; recommending and completing personnel actions; completing performance reviews. Must be alert to alcohol abuse and substance, and take appropriate action. Assists in ensuring all personnel are properly trained and maintain appropriate professional certifications. 

Operates Rec Trac, monitors cashiers. Ensures cashiers are properly trained in the use of Rec Trac and proper cash handling procedures. Ensures funds are collected.  Ensures receipts are verified and that the deposits are made daily. Ensures receipts are in order and change fund is secured daily. 

When needed, teaches various swimming skills and water safety for all age groups. Prepares material for classes being taught. Ensures the safety of all patrons in the class. 

Promptly reports safety hazards to supervisor. Completes incident reports and assists in maintaining routine documents and reports. Ensures proper disposal of medical waste and potentially infectious materials. Ensures that all maintenance work, water chemical testing, pool vacuuming, filtration, and equipment are within the scope required by environmental health standards. Ensures programs and operations are conducted within all prescribed health and safety and sanitation guidelines. Ensures the use of required safety equipment and safe work procedures. Takes appropriate steps to solve problems quickly and alerts senior leaders of situations. Understands the roles of the lifeguards during a coordinated rescue scene for the safety of the rescuers and the victim.
