Job Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced SAP and Insurance Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP solutions as they relate to the insurance industry, including policy administration, claims management, and financial reporting. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize SAP implementations and enhance business processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consultation & Strategy: Provide expert guidance on SAP solutions tailored for the insurance sector, advising on best practices and industry trends.
- Implementation Support: As a senior team member, spearhead SAP implementation projects to ensure they align with insurance processes, regulatory standards, and SAP best practices.
- System Configuration: Oversee the configuration of SAP modules (e.g., SAP FS-PM, FS-CD) specific to insurance operations.
- Business Process Improvement: Analyse existing business processes and recommend enhancements to optimize performance and efficiency within the SAP landscape.
- Training & Development: Develop training materials and conduct workshops for end-users and stakeholders to promote the effective use of SAP tools.
- Support & Troubleshooting: Act as the primary point of contact for system-related inquiries, providing troubleshooting support and solutions.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, configurations, and user guides.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT, finance, compliance, and operational teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP solutions within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in multiple SAP modules.
- Strong understanding of insurance processes, including underwriting, policy management, and claims processing.
- Familiarity with SAP modules relevant to insurance (e.g., SAP FS-PM, FS-CD).
- Utilize in-depth knowledge to assess gap findings and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Relevant SAP certification(s) is a plus.
