• Represents the interests and Direction of DAO Executive and Operational Directors with HQ program offices and field leadership to ensure consistent and effective field canine operations.
• Provides oversight to Transportation Security Specialists (TSS) ensuring engagement with executive-level Federal Security Directors (FSDs) and Law Enforcement entities to resolve requests for assistance, requirements application, problem solving, resource management, and performance deficiencies.

This Supervisory Transportation Security Officer position is located at Lynchburg Regional Airport (LYH), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Supervisory Transportation Security Officer (STSO), you will be responsible for mitigating actual and potential threats against civil aviation and other transportation modes. You will also perform and supervise in your area of specialty, which may include Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) and Lead Transportation Security Officers (LTSOs) in the performance of all security functions related to the screening of people, property, and cargo through the use and application of procedures, techniques, and technology. Prepares reconciliations, journal vouchers, and other related general ledger entries for the monthly and quarterly reporting of leases, leasehold improvements, real property, and accounts payable estimates to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Performs and/or coordinates non-routine and significant real property and lease accounting/reporting to report related assets and liabilities on TSA financial statements in accordance with the CFO Act.

This Supervisory Federal Air Marshal (Regional SAC) is located in the Field Operations Division, Law Enforcement/Federal Air Marshal Service (LE/FAMS), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

As a Supervisory Federal Air Marshal (Regional SAC), you will perform the following duties:

• Provides day-to-day management of and coordination for one of the Field Operations Division Regions comprised of multiple Federal Air Marshal Service Field Offices, mission status Federal Air Marshals, Assistant Federal Security Directors - Law Enforcement (AFSD-LEs) and Visible Intermodal Protection and Response (VIPR) teams.
• Directly manages subordinate supervisors and indirectly supervises, through regional responsibility, the work of several thousand employees performing transportation security and law enforcement duties around the world. Serves as a back-up to counterpart Regional SACs and Field Office SACs in their absence.
• Coordinates with management on misconduct investigations, ensuring that those investigations are completed in a timely and efficient manner; partnering with TSA Investigations on serious misconduct and criminal matters that warrant investigation outside of the LE/FAMS.
• Exercises a full range of supervisory and personnel management authorities and responsibilities in directing work of subordinate staff.
• Operates independently as a Federal Air Marshal (FAM) being deployed worldwide on passenger flights of U.S. air carriers, including flights determined to present high security risks to counter the risk of criminal/terrorist violence and aircraft piracy in order to meet national security concerns.

1. This position is emergency essential. DHS TSA employees may be subject to 24-hour on call duty in the event of an emergency. This service may require irregular working hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the position description. Selectee must be able to relocate to emergency sites with little advance notice and function under intense physical and mental stress.
2. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a Special Background Investigation (SBI) .
3. This is a testing designated position. Selectee must successfully pass drug and alcohol tests (negative result) and subsequent random drug/alcohol testing in accordance with TSA policy.

This Lead Transportation Security Officer position is located at Richard E Byrd International (RIC), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Lead Transportation Security Officer (LTSO), you will be responsible for leading at least three full-performance level Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) and, as assigned, trainee and apprentice level TSOs. As an LTSO, you will identify, distribute, and balance workloads and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow and skill level.
