As our new Supply Chain Manager at our brand new purpose built site at Redmoor, Milton Keynes, you will play a critical role in
ensuring the efficient and effective flow of goods and materials throughout our operation. You’ll be responsible for managing the
logistics and planning functions, from sourcing raw materials to delivering finished products to our valued customers. Your
strategic thinking, leadership, and problem-solving skills will further drive our supply chain excellence.

What you will be doing:

Supply Chain Strategy:

* Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with our business goals.
* Optimise inventory levels, lead times, and transportation costs.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction

Demand Planning:

* Collaborate with sales and production teams to forecast demand accurately.
* Ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging components.
* Balance inventory levels to meet customer demand without excess stock.
* Manage labour plans to reflect customer demand accurately.
* Control and improve material variances within the department.

Logistics and Distribution:

* Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities.
* Optimize delivery routes and minimize transportation costs.
* Monitor on-time delivery performance and address any delays

Quality Assurance:

* Work closely with quality control teams to maintain product quality standards.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and certifications.
* Uphold GMP and hygiene standards.
* Drive safety performance and behaviours throughout the team.

Risk Management:

* Identify supply chain risks (e.g., disruptions, shortages, supplier issues, ethical supply) and develop mitigation plans.

Team Leadership:

* Liaise cross-functionally to support customer service decisions.
* Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals.
* Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
* Develop a culture of continuous improvement.




Experience and Qualifications:

* Proven experience (7+ years) in supply chain management within the food industry.
* Strong analytical skills and proficiency in supply chain software.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
* Knowledge of UK food regulations and industry best practices.
* Strong knowledge of chilled food distribution requirements and regulations
* Experienced, well liked, successful manager - capable of leading a team, setting objectives and managing successful
performance.

Based at our production site in Milton Keynes, you will manage the storage, picking and distribution of finished goods, delivering
against KPI targets within budget.

Hours: Monday- Friday, 08:00 – 17:00

Salary: £40,000 - £42,500 per annum

Your Duties Will Include:

* Lead despatch and warehouse operation to support the business in delivering customer orders.
* Maintain KPI metrics to analyse and implement improvements.
* Manage time and resources across production facilities, ensuring performance is undisrupted.
* Stock accuracy and reconciliation for on and off-site locations.
* Co-ordinate transport and cold storage providers to meet business needs.
* Liaise with Planning teams to manage requirements including labour, equipment, freeze capacity
* Manage relationship with third party logistic providers, dealing with day-to-day escalation, longer term demand forecasting,
and performance.
* Ordering, scheduling and stock taking of returnable equipment, considering peak season and freezer program.
* Delivery discrepancy investigation and debit note reduction plan.
* Control budgeted spend and deviation forecast whilst finding ways to reduce cost.
* Overtime management and reduction plan.
* Motivate and train workforce whilst identifying talent to develop.
* Promote GMP and Health and Safety across the site, ensuring integrity and food safety.
* Maintain full traceability of finished goods and ensure always audit ready.
* Deputise for Supply Chain Manager during periods of absence and annual leave




Experience:

* Previous experience in logistics management, supply chain warehouse and transport
* FMCG background

Job Description:

We are looking for a proactive and meticulous Hygiene Team Leader to manage our night shift operations. Responsible for the safe &
hygienic flow of product through the production line, by effectively completing all the cleaning tasks as directed by the
Technical Manager and in line with the company and BRC defined processes. The role includes ensuring accurate and timely reporting
of any hygiene or food safety issues to the Technical Manager, adhering to safe manual handling processes and food safety hygiene
standards at all times, and continual housekeeping and maintenance of a safe working environment. The successful candidate will
work as part of a team to achieve the hygiene plan, ensuring our production facility operates smoothly and safely. Join our team
to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency in our production processes.


KEY DUTIES:

* Lead and motivate the hygiene team to achieve high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the production facility.
* Delegate tasks effectively and ensure the team completes all cleaning activities in a timely and efficient manner.
* Provide guidance and training to team members on safe cleaning procedures, food safety standards, and the use of personal
protective equipment (PPE).
* Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the team, conducting regular inspections and audits to
maintain compliance with company and regulatory hygiene standards.
* Reporting of any non-conformances, anomalies, or machinery failures to the Technical Manager.
* Take corrective action to control and minimize the risk of food safety issues on the production line.
* Removal of waste product into correct receptacles and minimize environmental impact through adherence to correct company
procedures.
* Follow correct hygiene procedures at all times.
* Follow safe manual handling procedures at all times.
* Maintain food safety at all times based upon the principles of HACCP.
* Correct PPE to be worn for the relevant high risk/low risk areas of the production floor.
* Any other duties as reasonably requested by the business.





REQUIREMENTS:

* Previous experience as Hygiene Operative food production, preferably in a supervisory role
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Knowledge of food production processes and safety regulations
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities
* Proficiency in using production management software
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
* High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications are advantageous
* Food Hygiene Level 3

Your Duties Will Include:



* Effective delivery of the NPD / EPD process from kitchen handover to launch in line with customer category plans through
management of development work across the site
* Support refinement of product at kitchen stage to ensure manufacturing standards will be met, taking lead role in feasibility
meetings and cost building
* Lead the Process teams to move product from kitchen to factory, ensuring all aspects of product quality are met and delivers
the agreed margin.
* Manage the development work across the site to ensure that it is delivered to required cost and within agreed timescales.
* Accountable for all stages of critical path of projects with understanding of the implications and effects of deviations.
* Lead process teams documentation to support product development to an auditable standard
* Lead the launch of product to agreed standards including leading launch meetings, running of the trial, and efficient handover
to Technical and production teams
* To understand and drive proactive process development initiatives which push production boundaries
* Support post-launch review through work with Technical teams for ongoing assessment of product quality, solve manufacturing
problems, driving continuous improvement, identify cost savings and efficiency to the business
* Promote health and safety culture by following all H&S requirements during kitchen and process development work
* Line management including regular 121 sessions, provide team updates, escalate areas of issues, mid-year and end of year
appraisals
* Occasional ad hoc projects, which may require time spent at other sites across the business



Experience:

* Passion for food, looking to continue career within food manufacturing
* Experience of managing people with the development function
* HACCP / Food Safety Training/basic knowledge
* Experience working with own label chilled foods
* Experience of dealing with customer relationships e.g. JS, Asda, M&S
* Experience working in fried foods (desirable)
* HND/Degree in food based/manufacturing subject (desirable)
