Chef Manager
Location: Gloucester
Salary: £33,000 & range of excellent employee benefits
Onsite – Monday-Friday with some weekend work
Sodexo has a great opportunity for an experienced Chef Manager to join our established team working with our prestigious client on an iconic account in Gloucestershire.
Joining our team at their large manufacturing site, you will deliver high quality food and service across the business, actively contributing towards the development of new food offers & ensuring that the chefs develop their skills & knowledge and plan, organise, co-ordinate, control, motivate & train those within your immediate team to achieve the business objectives.
The Chef Manager will monitor and maintain consistent methods of food preparation, production, presentation and service for all meals, ensuring they comply with Sodexo’s standards & procedures as well as the prompt & efficient preparation and service of all meals being provided to the standard of the food service offer laid down in the Service Level Agreement and to the Client's, Customer's and Sodexo’s satisfaction.
You will ensure that all food is prepared with due care and attention, with particular regard to customers’ special dietary requirements whilst developing long-term client relationships in line with the ‘Clients for life philosophy’ to enhance the retention of current clients and customers, gain referrals for new business and attract new customers.
About You
Experience and knowledge requirement for this role:
• Previous Head Chef experience
• Ability to achieve & set standards and operate to performance criteria, with particular regard to hygiene
• Flexible approach to business requirements and any out of hours working requests, i.e. Open day events
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients and staff alike
• Positive approach to learning in role and identifying own training needs
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Client retention and satisfaction

• People Management skills
• Literate and numerate
Qualifications required:
• RSPH, IOSH or CIEH Certificates in Food Safety/Health & Safety
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 3)
• 706/2 or NVQ2 chef qualification or equivalent
