Would you like to work for one of Devon’s largest rural youth organisation and make a real difference to the lives of rural young people? Are you organised, efficient and self-motivated? Do you enjoy a varied workload?
Then we may have just the opportunity for you.
The Devon Federation of Young Farmers’ Club’s (also known as Devon YFC) was created back in the 1920’s and offered young people in the countryside a way of socialising with other young people in their areas. Today there are 644 clubs in England and Wales, 37 of which are in Devon alone!
The main function of the clubs these days is exactly the same, but today YFC offers young people so much more than just a social life and the other key attribute of YFC is that the members of clubs are the ones who run them.
Devon YFC offers “fun, learning and achievement” to over 1800 members through a jam-packed, varied and exciting annual programme of competitions, sports tournaments, social events, AGRI events, county shows, fundraisers and so much more. You will join a small friendly team of staff and volunteers who work together to run this member-led charity for 10-28 year olds.
