Primary Responsibilities
• Delivery of new and existing business sales targets and plans to develop the Automotive Protection business in the countries that you are responsible for.
•Research of local markets, customers, distribution channels and network contacts to execute pipeline new business opportunities.
•Continuously monitor and ensure program progress is on target and any deviations from plan are identified and solutions implemented.
•Recommend and propose sales campaigns to deliver the business plan and ensure successful performance.
•Participate in meetings as required to support the development of strategy, provide updates on new business development, and launched programs.
•Provide communication for development or enhancement of the products
•Deliver timely decisions and problem solving solutions for customers and partners.
•Provide customer and market updates and other relevant input during budgeting process
•Establish planning and implementing strategies to build and retain customers, achieving production and profitability targets.
•Support the delivery of the regional marketing approach in line with the global automotive protection marketing strategy.
•To assess new sales opportunities together with individual country, regional and global underwriting teams, to ensure alignment with QBE’s strategy, underwriting appetite and business plan.
•Regularly review income and loss ratio performance on business, aligning with the underwriting team to make sure it is line with business plan. If necessary, take the remedial actions to ensure that we deliver on the business plan.
•To support the launch of new programs, ensuring all terms of cover, processes and procedures are implemented accurately within agreed timescales and in accordance with requirements.
•Ensure that all output adheres to the relevant legal, compliance & regulatory frameworks and corporate policies to minimise risk to the business.
•Identify and implement ‘best practice’ and process improvements
•Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including customers, partners and colleagues to support constructive relationships and to ensure services provided continually support business needs.

Evaluate risk for new business & renewals in accordance with standards, to ensure profitable growth
Actively keep abreast of market dynamics and demonstrate market cycle awareness to be able to operate effectively and appropriately
Perform underwriting activities in accordance with all legal and regulatory requirements to ensure obligations are met
Adhere to underwriting standards, instructions and good practice to minimize risks and maximize efficiency
Develop and maintain good working relationships with all customers, intermediaries and internal stakeholders
Build strong knowledge of current legislation, best practice, underwriting acceptance levels, systems and organizational guidelines
Contribute to the development and implementation of channel strategic plans
