Job Description:
Pacific Life is embarking on a transformative journey towards adopting a holistic Product Operating Model. We are seeking an exceptional expert leader in all things Product who will not only be a Lean-Agile expert but will also be instrumental in reshaping all facets of the operating model. This role goes far beyond Agile methodologies; it encompasses the entire spectrum of operational aspects, including funding, governance, talent, strategy, vendor and partnership management, performance management, portfolio governance, tooling, and ways of working.
As the Director, Product Delivery Enablement you will be responsible for orchestrating a paradigm shift within our organization. This entails moving from traditional project-based approaches to incremental product delivery with the intent to deliver value sooner, more affordably, at scale, and as one team across business and technology. Your role will span all facets of the operating model, touching on Talent, Strategy, Vendor and Partnership Management, Shared Services (e.g., Enterprise Architecture, DevSecOps, Data, Infrastructure, etc.), Tooling, Performance Management, Portfolio Governance, and Ways of Working.
How you will make an impact:
- Establish and lead an internal consultancy dedicated to the Product Operating Model, encompassing its key capabilities. This consultancy will serve as the go-to authority on product-related matters, from defining products to flow work through the system to ? .
- Build and lead a high-performance team of coaches and consultants dedicated to driving and stabilizing new deployments and coaching existing deployments for continuous improvement, new ways of working, and product enablement.
- Develop, and applies a diagnostic framework to assess the maturity and effectiveness of various components of the Product Operating Model. Work closely with internal clients to build tailored transformational plans rooted in a standard op model playbook.
- Collaborate closely with an external consultant to develop a playbook for our Product Operating Modeland set the stage for successful implementation.
- Take a hands-on role in leading deployments of product pilots, referred to as "Frontrunners." These pilot initiatives encompass both product and platform areas. Guide and steer these pilots towards successful adoption of the Product Operating Model, providing mentorship, insights, and direction.
- Ensure that all supporting capabilities, including enterprise architecture, DevOps, cloud, enablement, cybersecurity, and data management, are seamlessly integrated with the Product Operating Model Take ownership of building strong partnerships with executives and teams across the organization to identify and deploy aspects of the Product Operating Model.
- Partner with vendor management and internal and external partners to curate engagement and performance models to integrate and enable the Product Operating Model.
- Collaborate with the finance to operationalize Product financial management. Establish patterns around strategy-aligned funding allocation, capacity management and allocation, capacity management, financial reporting, etc.
- Establish and apply talent assessments and development frameworks to enable our people effective work in a new operating model.
The experience you will bring:
- You bring a distinguished track record of 15+ years in progressive product operating model leadership, collaborating with senior executives to achieve strategic product-based goals.
- Proven track record in shaping and implementing holistic operating models, with a focus on product-centricity.
- Familiarity with managing financials in a Product Operating Model, including capital allocation, capacity management, capitalization, budgeting, forecasting, risk management and reporting.
- Experience in integrating vendors and shared services into a Product Operating Model.
- Passion and commitment for building and leading high-performing teams of coaches and consultants.
- Exceptional skills in building and nurturing strong partnerships with executives and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated leadership and storytelling skills (verbal and written) to enable the organization move along the change journey
- Your ability to influence and align people to achieve objectives.
- Your understanding and commitment to integrate of change enablement and communication capabilities In ways of work with the goal of bringing people along the journey.
- Demonstrated success in leveraging external consulting for actionable outcomes underscores your strategic acumen.

Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
$155,700.00 - $190,300.00
