As a Senior Radiographer at our Brentwood Hospital, you will work autonomously with specialist knowledge and skills to lead on the delivery of a high quality diagnostic imaging service through undertaking a wide / specialist range of radiographic examinations.

You hold a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), a postgraduate qualification and be HCPC registered. With a working knowledge of IRMER, IRR and be able to undertake audits. Radiation Protection Supervisor training/qualification would be desirable.

As our Senior Radiographer, you will:

Clinical

• Perform radiological procedures as required, in accordance with department protocols and Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IRMER).

• Undertake specialist examinations within scope of practice.

Leadership

• Provide clinical leadership within a specialist field in Diagnostic Imaging, including some day-to-day supervision of staff within the department, including Induction, development and training, and input into recruitment and performance review.

• Ensure work is carried out efficiently and to agreed working practices and protocols.

• Represent the department at meetings and ensure that actions are followed through and feedback provided to the department.

Health and Safety

• Monitor and maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.

Our Brentwood Pathology Hub currently have an opportunity for a Senior Biomedical Scientist, Blood Transfusion Lead. You will bring knowledge and understanding of laboratory quality management systems and relevant regulatory body accreditation standards. Hold the relevant qualification and registration registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Desirable qualifications include MSc, Equivalent academic achievement ratified by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) OR Equivalent Level 7 Post Graduate Certification or Diploma. As our Blood Transfusion lead you will:

• Ensure incidents and errors are reported to relevant bodies and action plans are enacted to prevent recurrence and recorded on our quality management systems
