Job Description & Requirements
This contract position is responsible for supporting the implementation of sales & marketing activities, events and achieving results for clients in the tourism and hospitality sectors. The responsibilities include conducting research, writing, maintaining and tracking account information, and compiling reports.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain regional clients lists for sales teams, ensuring that they are up to date and contain accurate and relevant information based on research, interviews, etc.
- Track sales/marketing opportunities for sales/marketing team’s clients including editorial calendars, events and awards programs.
- Assist in handling special regional onsite and hybrid events such as CruiseWorld Asia, Readers’ Choice Awards and Meetings & Conventions Asia Connections.
- Liaise with the team for logistics and operational requirements.
- Work closely with event vendors and keep tab on timelines for clear and timely delivery of all materials and services required for all events.
- Follow up with any client and vendors tasks from time to time.
Skills:
- Be proficient in all areas of writing including monthly and weekly reports, email communication, letters, sales kits, newsletters etc.
- Manage time efficiently in relation to campaigns, prioritizes tasks and manages the achievement of performance objectives.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing / possess a Diploma/Degree or BS/BA in Business or Marketing
- Be well versed in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint and internet research experience.
- Preferably, some exposure in events & digital marketing.
- Have a strong interest in Tourism, hospitality and events management.
Position requires incumbent to commit himself/herself minimum for 3 - 4 months and may extend further dependent on performance.
