The candidate reports to the Head, Adult Chinese Learning Programme and will be responsible for the following:
· Programme management which encompasses programme budgeting, programme advertising, enrolment of new students, curriculum planning and time-tabling, administrative work related to the programme, and logistics support.
· Diploma programme applications, queries, and the selection and interview process for each enrolment cycle.
· Management and maintenance of student database, students’ candidature and the Learning Management System.
· Conduct of welcome briefing for students.
· Coordination with lecturers on the module schedules and the review of the module outlines to ensure compliance with the Diploma programme’s structure and syllabus.
· Preparation of the lecturer consultancy agreement and class enrolment list before the start of each module.
· Overseeing the administration and processing of students’ requests for class transfers, deferments, and withdrawals.
· Work with the Assistant Director to manage cases relating to disciplinary matters in the areas of academic integrity and rules, and exceptional student requests.
· Management of pre-examination preparations and post-examination processing which include scheduling, marks compilation and processing, checking of reports, result appeals, special consideration, academic awards, and graduation matters.
· Oversee the update and compilation of graduation records, preparation of certificates and transcripts for graduation ceremony.
· Organise the customisation of Diploma and Certificate programmes for corporate clients.
· Verify documents submitted for payments and refunds.
· Plan and organise the information sessions for each enrolment intake and for the graduation ceremonies.
· Provide travel assistance to appointed lecturers from overseas, such as hotel and flight bookings, and visa application.
· Plan and coordinate immersion studies with counterpart organisations in China.
· Review and streamline enrolment processes on a regular basis.
· Manage and maintain programme information on government portals (SkillsFuture Singapore/TPGateway etc). Create course run and each module’s sessions in TPGateway for uploading of attendance as part of the SSG requirements.
· Submit regular reports to Management.
· Work closely with Certificate Team on government training grants (SSG/SFC/NSA/PSEA/UTAP) renewals, applications, and claims with government agencies.
· Any other duties as assigned by the Management.
Requirements
Diploma / Degree in fields of Chinese, Linguistics or Education
- Fresh graduates / Min 2 years of working experience
- Strong project management skills & experience working across groups
- Outgoing and enjoy interacting with people
- Meticulous and able to multi-task
- Confident in public speaking
- Great interpersonal skills with "team player" attitude
- Knowledge in the educational industry will be an advantage
- 5-day work week, require to work on Saturday
- Programmes involve business translation and teaching Chinese thus knowledge of Mandarin is essential.
