The Receptionist/Administrator will provide an efficient service for patients and members of the practice. The post holder will ensure that all patients and visitors are welcomed to the practice in a friendly, compassionate and professional manner whilst adhering to the practice data and confidentiality policy. The Receptionist/Administrator will provide a comprehensive clerical support service to the administration and clinical teams in delivering high quality patient care and making a positive difference to the patient experience.

The Consultant will have a continuing responsibility for the care of patients in their charge and to undertake the administrative duties associated with their care. They will be expected to co-operate with the Clinical Director and Care Group Management on organisational and budget issues. The Post holder will work closely alongside other Geriatricians in post to create a pleasant working environment with teamwork at the heart of what you do. The on-call commitment and acute hospital sessional commitment to medicine and rehabilitation will be organised with the Consultants colleagues to ensure both delivery of this goal and continuity of responsibility for inpatient care. The on-call commitment will include 1:8 week day cover and a 1:10 weekend cover. One Health is looking for a fellowship-trained Consultant Gynaecologist to support and grow the One Health Group Gynaecology team. The role will involve assessing and operating on NHS patients referred to One Health via the NHS e-Referral System. All surgeons who work with One Health will be subject to our onboarding process and approval from our Clinical Governance Lead. Project Management: Manage the implementation of specified projects in accordance with the particular needs of the Trust. Responsible for coordinating and facilitating the running of project team meetings. To manage a school caseload of young people with a range of needs including those with complex disabilities, providing occupationally focused assessment and intervention. To work with the West Lea school team to develop a high quality, evidence-based service provision into West Lea school. This will include staff training and Universal and Targeted provision as well as Specialist support. To provide both home and school-based OT input to the students in West Lea school focusing on occupational areas of need and preparing students for adulthood. To set occupationally focused intervention goals with children and young people and/or their parents/carers and schools that are child centred and agreed by the child/young person and/or their parents/carers and school staff. To set and maintain high standards of clinical practice, which is evidence based, and includes outcome measures to monitor achievement of person-centred goals and whole class approaches. To work alongside teaching staff to provide class based targeted intervention packages of care. To work within an occupational frame of reference. JOB PURPOSE The postholder will work within the Plymouth Community Dental Service PCDS to develop, implement and evaluate defined Oral Health Improvement activities. Working closely with clinicians to ensure effective and efficient delivery of oral health programmes in line with national oral health strategies such as Delivering Better Oral Health, an evidence-based toolkit. This role will undertake oral health appointments with patients of the service, including adults/children and those with additional needs or who are medically compromised and to undertake fluoride varnish application under the prescription of a clinician. SCOPE AND RANGE This post will provide a comprehensive oral health service for patients with complex needs, as well as evidence-based oral health promotion to key population groups, in line with national and local strategies for reducing inequalities in oral health. The provision of Oral Health Promotion is multifaceted, requiring a range of inter-personal, presentational, and organisational skills, as well as an understanding of the impact of social and environmental determinants of health. The ability to work independently and flexibly is an essential part of this post. Responsibility for People Management Facilitate and support with on-going staff training in oral health promotion to the wider dental team and other healthcare professionals where appropriate.
