Work base: Norfolk Primary Care Head Office, Reed House, Peachman Way, Norwich, NR7 0WF plus some working from home Reports to: Chief Strategy Officer Job Details: 37.5 hours per week (Full Time) 30 days leave per annum (pro rata) plus statutory bank holidays £65k per annum (depending on experience) Key Responsibilities: Development of a BI Strategy Objective: Establish a cohesive BI strategy, covering technology, hosting, and data governance. Key Deliverables: Strategy Document: Outline a BI strategy with short- and long-term plans for technology, infrastructure, and resources. Platform Selection: Identify scalable, secure BI tools compatible with existing systems. Hosting Solution: Determine and implement the most suitable hosting solution (on-premise, cloud, hybrid). Data Governance: Create policies to ensure data quality, security, and compliance, including clear roles and responsibilities. Implementation Roadmap: Define milestones, timelines, and resources, monitoring progress and adapting as needed. Development and Embedding of Internal Management Information Reporting Objective: Enable effective delivery and performance monitoring across the organisation through accurate insights. Key Deliverables: Needs Assessment: Evaluate reporting requirements organization-wide, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement. Reporting Framework: Create a standardized framework for reporting types, frequency, and formats. Data Integration: Consolidate data sources into a unified warehouse with automated validation for accuracy. Dashboard Creation: Develop customisable, interactive dashboards for real-time KPI tracking. Training and Support: Provide training for report access and interpretation, alongside ongoing support. Development of BI as a Service Objective: Enhance decision-making at General Practice level, aiding practices in resource acquisition and change advocacy. Key Deliverables: Service Definition: Define and communicate the scope and value of the BI as a Service offering. Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with General Practices to co-create BI solutions addressing specific needs. Secure Data Access: Implement secure data-sharing practices in compliance with data regulations. Custom Reporting: Design tailored reporting solutions, with training for practices to develop their own insights. Case Development Support: Assist practices with data-driven cases for resource allocation and improvement initiatives. Continuous Feedback: Set up mechanisms to refine the service in response to feedback and evolving needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide reassurance and support to patients and family/carers Provide information to enable the effectiveness of the patient journey through Outpatients. To support patients and relatives in distress, and to recognise when advice should be sort from qualified nursing or medical staff. Be able to locate all policies relating to good working practice within the clinical area and adhere to them. Contribute to promotion of good health and participate in health education To maintain the confidentiality of information about patients, staff and health service business in accordance with Trust Confidentiality Policy and the Data Protection Act Assist in the maintenance of accurate record keeping. LEVEL OF CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITY To obtain blood samples from patients in the phlebotomy department. Participate in the reception of patients and relatives in the clinical area. Receive patients in the clinic / phlebotomy checking patients details and providing information as required. At the direction of the registered nurse participate fully in the delivery of planned nursing care. Involve patients and relatives / carers in the delivery of care. To chaperone patients as necessary. Collecting and testing specimens as required and reporting abnormalities. Preparation of clinic sessions: Ensure rooms are stocked with relevant forms for the clinic or phlebotomy department. Couches /chairs and work surfaces are cleaned before clinic session. Ensure the patients notes are ready at start of clinic. Ensure a sufficient supply of equipment is available for each clinic. Ensure all equipment is in good working order. To support the Senior Sister / Charge Nurse, acting as a deputy when the Senior Sister / Charge Nurse is absent. In areas within the organisation nurses may be banded at 6 by virtue clinical reasons, for example, critical care. Provide effective support and leadership to both staff, patients and carers within the ward or department. Act as role model, teacher and supervisor for junior staff and students. Ensure systems are in place to provide the continuity of safe effective care for patients at all times. The NCRF Infrastructure sits within Newcastle University and encompasses the Clinical Research Facility (CRF) at our Royal Victoria Infirmary site, the Clinical Ageing Research Unit (CARU) at our CAV site, the Dental CRF in our Dental Hospital and the Pediatric CRF which is co-located within our RVI site. We operate mainly as an outpatient facility with patients usually attending between Monday and Friday although occasional evening and weekend working is required as studies dictate. The CRF specialises in early phase clinical trials as well as supporting complex later phase studies. We often support international trials and due to the nature of early phase research we are working with new and groundbreaking therapies, in specialty areas such as respiratory, rheumatology, mitochondrial research, and gene therapy. This role requires an individual with excellent organizational and communication skills, effective time management, basic IT skills, knowledge of data collection systems and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. The successful candidate will work as an integral member of the CRF research delivery team to provide clinical care to study participants and their families who are participating in research.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse who wishes to develop clinical research skills. To participate in the creation and maintenance of a high-quality clinical research environment. To initiate and manage nursing activities related to academic studies and clinical trials, from initiation to termination, according to ICH good clinical practice guidelines.
