The post is full time post working in a general obstetrics and gynaecology, participating in the middle grade rota. This post is for a fixed term Trust Doctor Post in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at ST4-ST7 level and the post holder will be working alongside the existing Obstetrics & Gynaecology medical staff.

The team are committed to sharing best practice in the fields of acquired communication and swallow disorders, so provide regular training sessions for doctors, nurses and healthcare assistants as well as those staff trained to carry out basic dysphagia screening. To provide a specialist service for patients diagnosed with Brain & CNS or other tumour sites affecting communication and/or swallow function. To act as a resource for AHPs working with Neuro-Oncology patients in the referring catchment area. To provide a specialist service to inpatients at the RSCH with a range of acquired neurological / medical disorders. To manage and prioritise own specialist caseload, including patients with acquired complex communication/swallowing difficulties or receiving end of life care. Provide a holistic, timely and proactive service to patients with Brain & CNS tumours (including domiciliary visits where appropriate). To continue with service development and promotion of the Neuro-Oncology and Acute medical services. To provide leadership to the Acute Medicine Speech and Language Therapist team. To provide teaching and training (formal and informal) to colleagues and members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT). To monitor referral guidelines, patient pathways, outcome measures and best practice initiatives to maximise the patient experience.

To participate in the provision of an efficient and cost effective Histology service within Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Services. The Role: The Stock Controller position will have a pivotal role within the Material Management Department. Provide a professional, customer focused Supply Chain service to all user departments. Professionally handle customer enquiries and work with internal and external customers to provide advice and support to their enquiries, ensuring their needs are responded to and met. Job Duties: Provide stock control, including stock rotation, re-ordering and replenishment service for an agreed range of consumables used by customers and to support end users in accordance with HPL and Trust policies. The Royal Surrey Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Guildford provides high quality cancer services and is a busy district general hospital with an accident and emergency department and full general medical and surgical teams. The Haematology team deliver level 2b care, including intensive chemotherapy for AML, salvage treatment for high grade lymphoma and intensive treatment for primary CNS lymphoma. We work closely with colleagues at Ashford and St Peters Hospital and share a level 2 in-patient service based at the RSFT. There is a 1:10 combined ward attending and out of hours on-call rota. Care is delivered by a team of committed and highly skilled staff including 6 Haematologists, 3 Clinical nurse specialists, 2 Haematology Registrars and Designated Junior Doctors at the RSFT and 4 further Consultant Colleagues from Ashford and St Peters Hospital.
