High-Cost Clinical Pharmacy Services:1. Responsible for the day-to-day management of the pharmacy High-Cost Therapies and Homecare services. To ensure a safe, efficient, responsive, and robust service delivery across the trust and its network sites in accordance with relevant legislation.2. To act as an NVQ assessor to support the E&T of Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians, ATOs and apprentices within Pharmacy.3. Act as a role model and provide E&T support on High-Cost Therapies and Homecare medicines and processes for new members of staff and those rotating within the High-Cost Therapies and Homecare Section.4. Undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as required by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).5. To contribute to the training of other members of the multidisciplinary team within the Trust as required.6. Develop and motivate staff to ensure they can and do perform well in their job, contribute towards improvements to the pharmaceutical service and encourage staff to suggest and implement changes to improve pharmaceutical services. Staff Management1. To be responsible for recruitment and selection of technical staff and ATOs including advertising, short-listing, interviewing, and selecting staff.2. To act as direct line manager to Senior Pharmacy Technicians and other technical staff working within Pharmacy and to be responsible for their setting objectives, appraisals, sickness absence and performance management and all related procedures for these groups of staff.3. Assist in the supervision of all aspects of work by junior staff within the Pharmacy High-Cost Therapies and Homecare section to ensure that procedures are carried out according to local policy and with due regard to the GPhC standards of conduct, ethics, and performance.4. To be responsible for authorisation of leave for technical staff working within the section. To supervise the management and prioritisation of the work processes within the section to ensure adequate staff cover is in place at all times in order to maintain an efficient service.5. Main Responsibilities 1. Strategy, planning and business development Support Collaborate with the Operations Director, Medical Director, and practice partners to develop the practice strategy and business plan. Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans with clear targets and deliverables Monitor and evaluate progress against strategic and business goals, providing regular updates to the Operations Director Keep up to date with national and local policy and regulation changes related to general practice and wider primary care developments, identifying potential risks, opportunities and areas for innovation. Research future practice developments and provide business intelligence to proposals. Expand and maintain effective communication with relevant external agencies. Represent the practice at appropriate forums and meetings as required. 2. Leadership and management Provide leadership to all staff within the Practice, creating a positive and motivating working environment ensuring there is a key focus on supporting development. Manage the on-going development of systems to underpin the standard operation of the clinical services and supporting business activities. Liaise with the GPIT or the ICB regarding systems procurement, IT funding and national IT development programmes. Ensure the maintenance of the Practices website and all other communication channels. 9. To work as part of the Multi-professional team providing a high standard ofantenatal, intrapartum and postnatal midwifery care to women and their families within the integrated maternity service. To rotate within all clinical areas within maternity services to support professional development and maintain safe standards of midwifery care in line with service provision. Main duties Provide a high standard of midwifery care to mothers and babies during the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal period. Take autonomous clinical decisions in an emergency to ensure safe outcomes for mother and baby Able to work as an autonomous practitioner in all aspects of midwifery practice

The SCF will attend the daily general surgical hand-over meeting from 7:30 to 8:00 am. The SCF will share with the SpRs the responsibility to lead a full daily ward round along with the rest of the team team. The SCF will be responsible for the day to day management decisions of all patients. The complexity of these patients often requires experience, knowledge, ability for clinical decision making and ability to liaise with all members of the MDM for co- ordination of care. The SCF will be responsible to operate either with or without supervision on appropriately allocated patients on an elective or emergency basis. The SCF will be expected to cooperate with, instruct, teach and supervise other doctors of the Firm at SpR, JCF, SHO, F1/F2 level in their clinical work and audit activity of the unit. The Department is proactively involved with student teaching and regular student teaching is mandatory for the SCF. Post graduate teaching is required, particularly at the basic surgical Skills Course as well as other post graduate courses.
