Leadership and Management This post does not hold any responsibility for line managing staff. Communication The Waiting Well Assistant will be required to communicate with a range of people, including communication about sensitive and difficult matters, with people who may be experiencing high levels of distress. Therefore, effective communication using a range of skills in relationship building and overcoming barriers to communication, whilst adhering to Navigo policies and procedures is essential for the role. Key Relationships: The post holder will be expected to work with: o Service users and other members of the public e.g. relatives and carers o The NHS Talking Therapies clinical and admin team o Wider Navigo services o Partner organisations o GPs and other referrers o Local statutory providers o Local voluntary sector organisations Clinical Supervision and Case Management Supervision Attend clinical and managerial supervision on a regular basis as agreed with line manager and in line with professional requirements. Clinical The post holder will assertively follow up on service users who have been referred or self-referred for treatment when contact attempts for initial assessment via usual pathways have been unsuccessful. The post holder will assertively follow up on reported DNAs where risk is identified by practitioners and escalate appropriately. The post holder will also have some opportunity to support clinicians in the delivery of therapy groups, workshops and seminars under the supervision of the clinical team. The post holder will be part of developing a waiting well group that can be offered to individuals on the waiting list to maintain their well-being whilst waiting for therapy. The post holder will support any waiting well initiative including but not limited to a monthly open access drop in service. The post holder will be required to be flexible and offer support to individuals outside of the usual 9-5 hours should the service require it. To support with the service referrals received, obtaining further information and follow appropriate pathways established. To ensure that all processes are effective and high standards are maintained. Have a working knowledge of Navigo policies and procedures. To participate in and keep up to date with Navigo mandatory training requirements. To develop skills and competencies necessary for the role, including attending additional training and CPD when required to do so. Ability to organise own diary and appointments to meet the needs of the service Manage the waiting list appropriately with support calls, escalating concerns and building rapport with those waiting for therapeutic input. The role of the Performance Assistant Facilitator: The post holder will provide support to the Performance Team and the functions it carries out including support with the administration of various meetings. The post holder will support the Caldicott Guardian and SIRO (Senior Information Risk Owner) in promoting adherence to information governance (IG) best practice within the organisation. The post holder will provide the required workforce data submissions for the Performance Team (e.g., sickness absence, annual leave tracking). The post holder will work under supervision of the Digital Programme Manager but the ability to work on your own initiative is essential. MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide administrative support to the following meetings: GDPR Group Meeting Digital Strategy Group Meeting IT Contract Meeting Systems User Group Meeting Team Meetings To include: Ensuring relevant members and attendees are invited to meetings and have access to papers. Coordination and distribution of meeting papers (via MS Teams). Producing minutes. Maintenance of action trackers and obtaining updates. Information Governance: Working as a central communication point of the GDPR Group they will support with: Provision of administrative support as detailed above.
