Main Duties Lead nursing input into the project. Work as a registered Nurse within the Trust as and when suitable for the project. Manage own workload in order to support the clinical information needs that enable the Trust to achieve goals described in the Medicines Optimisation strategy. Act as the Trust appointed Lead Nurse for the ePMA project. Advocate on behalf of and represent the project at relevant nursing meetings. Participate in the development and planning of relevant ePMA user training programmes. Provide high quality emergency care, being competent in the normal range of emergency medical conditions and injuries. Consultant presence is daily from 08:00 20:00 with off-site support out of hours. When a consultant is not present the oversight of the department (EPIC role) will be taken on by a member of the middle grade team as the most senior member of medical team on site. The provisional timetable represents a job plan consisting of 10 programmed activities (PAs) per week. The job plan is a prospective agreement that sets out the consultants duties, responsibilities and objectives for the coming year. It covers all aspects of the consultants professional practice including clinical work, teaching, research, education and managerial responsibilities. It will provide a clear schedule of commitments, both internal and external. In addition it will include personal objectives including details of their link to wider service objectives and details of the support required by the consultant to fulfil the job plan and the objectives. The job plan, for 10 PAs will commence including 1.5 Supporting Professional Activities [SPA]. After six months in post the SPA allocation will be reviewed with the post holder and any necessary adjustments will be made with a maximum of 2.5 SPAs. It is expected that more direct clinical care (DCC) sessions in theatre or clinic would be available if required. Current on call commitments are based around a 1:7 provision. You will work with the Dispensary team, dispensing outpatient, inpatient and discharge prescriptions, along with topping up the ward stock if required. You will assist in providing emergency bags and kits. You will serve both patients, relatives and staff at our pharmacy reception and receive calls on the telephone.
