The Information Support Assistant (ISA) within the CHF/FIND IHUB is part of a mixed Civil Service/Military team of 4 based in CHF HQ. Your customer base will be operationally focused Navy, Royal Marines and Army Aviation specialists operating the latest Merlin Mk4 and Wildcat AH Aircraft.
This varied role is located within the CHF/FIND ihub is supporting the Ihub manager to facilitate the efficient management of corporate information and knowledge in accordance with policy. This is an administration and IT role which supports all end users to ensure they have the right MODnet IT, user accounts, permissions and SharePoint pages, lists and libraries to enable them to meet their outputs. The role is customer facing provides guidance to users on IT and software and escalate any issues to the Ihub Manager.
An Information Support Assistant facilitates the efficient and effective management of corporate information and knowledge in accordance with policy. The role is responsible for the structuring and handling of information to enable it to be stored, archived, located, and retrieved efficiently, whilst ensuring its integrity.
The ISA is responsible for the following to ensure compliance with policy and legislation:
Management and administration of user accounts and role change requests.
Management and administration of laptops.
To build and maintain SharePoint and Team sites to provide effective information management and improve collaborative working. Monitor sites for appropriate functionality, conducting regular assurance checks.
Manage access permissions to SharePoint and Shared Mailboxes.
Manage and assure records.
Provide Laptop and Office 365 guidance to users.
To act as Local Security Officer (LSO) and Authorised Demander (AD), coordinating MODNet User accounts.
Support the ihub Manager to facilitate Infra queries.
Action regular SharePoint Floor-walking and IM assurance visits; offering advice and training as required, recording activity conducted.
Use available software to exploit the use of information, improve working processes and share best practice across CHF/FIND.
Issuing CHF and FIND wide announcements and distribution of information in the most effective manner.
To carry out additional tasking as directed by the IHub Manager and support the Power Platform Developer.
