Purpose of Position:
Ø To oversee the UESI shop floor Production is in accordance with published procedures and methodologies at all times. To liaise with Supervisors and Leading Hands as required to drive a Right First-Time productivity capability and take responsibility for the Quality Assurance and Quality Compliance of the products, assemblies and sub-assemblies produced and the quality compliance of the Goods received into stores.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure compliance of all FRP parts with drawings, specifications, and resin mixing ratios, meeting quality standards.
2. Create and monitor schedules for employees, ensuring their readiness and performance.
3. Maintain accuracy of job sheets and employee hours, prioritizing time efficiency.
4. Conduct inspections to ensure timely completion of FRP parts.
5. Efficiently procure materials, tools, and equipment from stores.
6. Prevent wastage of material, consumables, and tools.
7. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, free of hazards.
8. Perform periodic maintenance and proper storage of machinery and tools.
9. Ensure new employees possess required skills and training.
10. Ensure adherence to safety regulations and communicate procedures to management.
11. Oversee and coordinate production activities to achieve delivery plans.
12. Continuously improve processes and provide training.
13. Propose production flow reorganization for improved productivity.
14. Establish SOPs for resin and gel coat mixing.
Quality Responsibilities:
1. Implement continuous improvement systems for process and product quality.
2. Assess process parameters and offer improvements for error reduction and increased productivity.
3. Investigate non-conformances and customer complaints, maintaining quality records.
4. Initiate corrective actions and preventive measures to ensure safety, performance, and customer satisfaction.
5. Prepare quality documentation and reports, analyzing information and trends.
6. Monitor equipment usage and ensure accuracy through calibration and repair.
7. Interact with vendors to ensure quality of purchased parts.
8. Maintain test reports, production records, and certifications.
9. Perform any other duties assigned by General Manager.

Minimum Academic / Professional Qualification:
Ø Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture & Shipbuilding.
Minimum Work Experience:
Ø Minimum 5-10 years’ Experience in the Similar field.
