Liverpool Health Partners is the Academic Health Science System for the Liverpool City Region. it is a membership-led organisation comprising of 10 academic and NHS partners.
LHP convenes across, and advocates on behalf of, its member organisations and the excellence they represent. We have a mandate from the universities and NHS Trusts which are our members, to work across the health and life sciences sector in the region and, together, deliver health, economic and societal benefit.
This post is being created as part of the ongoing establishment of LHP as an initiative within Liverpool. A key element of our work is to attract talent and ensure effective succession planning. Alongside the recently established Deputy MD responsible for delivery of the Joint Research Office, this role will be central to putting those principles into action and achieving our long-term goals.
The post holder will have delegated responsibility for specific areas of LHP activity. They will operate at a senior level across the partnership and be comfortable in a fast moving and complex system. The post will be very much partner-focussed, ensuring that the work LHP does fits with the aspirations of our members and engages them in the delivery.
Provide broad support for the MD in shaping and delivering LHP on behalf of the member organisations.
Provide leadership and example in creating the optimal culture for LHP to deliver its strategic plan effectively.

Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategy to support delivery.
Support the development of a positive narrative about Liverpool.
Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.
The merger provides an opportunity to reconfigure services in a way that provides the best healthcare services to the city and improves the quality of care and health outcomes that patients experience.
The Trust runs Aintree University Hospital, Broadgreen Hospital, Liverpool University Dental Hospital and the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
It serves a core population of around 630,000 people across Merseyside as well as providing a range of highly specialist services to a catchment area of more than two million people in the North West region and beyond.
