THE OPPORTUNITY
Our Pontoon Caretakers are an integral part of the team primarily responsible for the servicing and maintenance of ancillary vessels, machinery and equipment on our Hardy Reef pontoons ensuring the best facilities for our day and overnight guests. A unique opportunity to live and work on the Great Barrier Reef where together with the hospitality team, you will share special places and create lasting memories.
This will be a full time position on a lifestyle roster, 7 days on/ 7 days off, at our Reefworld Pontoon located on the Outer Great Barrier Reef departing from Airlie Beach, QLD. Shared accommodation and meals provided whilst on-duty at the Reefworld Pontoon.
Your days might include:
Ensuring exceptional presentation of the Pontoons and Auxiliary vessels;
Vessel handling and compliance with Safety Management Systems;
Maintenance and operation of pontoon generators and engines;
General pontoon operational tasks;
Undertaking crew training including in-water training and vessel inductions;
Ensuring maintenance is undertaken on board and defects are recorded;
Conducting rescue and lookout duties for guests;
Customer service and product delivery working closely with the hospitality team.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful you will be a team player with a demonstrated positive “can-do” attitude, be comfortable living and working on water for extended periods of time (7/7 day full time roster). You will have previous deckhand experience, a general aptitude for maintenance and engineering, and ability to deliver professional customer service. You will have think on your feet and be a natural creative problem solver.
Hold a minimum AMSA accredited Coxswains (Open); or Master <24 and a MED 2/3 ticket advantageous;
Possess a Maritime Radio Operator's Licence;
HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid and HLTAID015 - CPR & Apply Oxygen;
Responsible Service of Alcohol and Blue Card (Working with Children's Check);
Ability to manage time and have strong organisational skills;

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking 2 x Pontoon (Trade) Engineers to join the team on a Permanent Full Time basis.
The responsibility of the Pontoon (Trade) Engineers is to supervise the maintenance and operation of the Reefworld and Heart Pontoons in a safe and efficient manner, while also conforming to the requirements set forth by GRMPA, AMSA, SMA, and Journey Beyond. The Pontoon Engineer must prioritize a strong dedication to safety and quality, guaranteeing the efficient and effective communication of vessel machinery and operations.
Your Typical day would include :
Adherence to high levels of marine safety and pontoon maintenance compliance, ensuring all training and certificates are up to date.;
Compliance with Safety Management Systems;
Maintenance and operation of pontoon generators and engines and other maintenance issues on the Pontoons;

What will you be doing?
Your primary job is ensure each and every guest has an experience of a lifetime. Together you will share special places and create lasting memories. Your days might include:
Greeting and assisting guests ensuring the guests experience and safety is priority;
Exceptional food and beverage delivery;

THE OPPORTUNITY
Cruise Whitsundays are seeking Marine Vessel Engineer's (MED 1) to join the team on a casual basis.
Offering a unique lifestyle roster based out of Airlie Beach, The Whitsundays. Working 4 days one week and 3 the next where you never work a full weekend!
This is a hands-on position which oversees, through relevant procedures, the safe mechanical operations of vessels ensuring all repairs are conducted safely and efficiently.
What you will be doing?
Perform daily engine and machinery checks on assigned vessels
Alongside the Master, management and safe operations of the vessel in accordance with policies and procedures
Diagnose system problems as and when they occur
Ensure all maintenance requirements and ramifications are recorded
Coordinate and maintain effective vessel preventative maintenance programs
Accurately maintain logs and work orders through to job completion and sign off
Assist with securing vessels at the various marinas and island jetties
Be involved in safety drill practices as required by the Master
Assist with guest experience duties including meeting and greeting of guests
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team with excellent communication and problem solving skills. You will have demonstrated experience in conducting risk assessments and introducing practical safety measures.
The ideal candidate will be an experience Marine Engineer preferably within the Marine Tourism industry.

This role is responsible for supporting the Marine Operations Manager with the primary focus of driving efficiency, compliance, continuous improvement and productivity within the Marine Department.

Delivering first class standards throughout the marine operations, and proactively building and maintaining effective working relationships with key stakeholders;
Supporting the Marine Operations Manager in leading and motivating a large crew to deliver the company product, safely and efficiently;
Facilitating all facets of workforce planning such as schedules/rosters, matrixes and crew progression;
Managing training compliance such as VSI/VOC's, qualifications and professional development;
Co-ordinating and overseeing compliance with permits and licenses through regulatory bodies;

Assisting with the planning, management and maintenance of company vessels and pontoons, including purchasing, refurbishment and replacement; and

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager - Sales and Marketing, this role is primarily responsible for sourcing, converting and maximizing revenue opportunities whilst managing client relationships regionally and within the Groups and MICE sectors. ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking 3 x Diesel Fitter and/or Mechanic to join the team on a Permanent Full Time basis as Shore-Based Engineers within our Maintenance Team. This role is based at our Workshop in Airlie Beach working Monday to Friday between 7am and 3:30pm.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role assists in the mechanical maintenance of vessels, pontoon, vehicles, tenders, outboards, air-conditioning, refrigeration, davits and lifting systems.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Diagnose system problems as and when they occur
Accurately maintain logs and work orders through to job completion and sign off
Adherence with SOPS, Marine Memos, operational procedures and WHS requirements
Follow the scheduled maintenance program for all mechanical, electrical, air control, safety equipment on a regular basis on the vessels, tenders, pontoon, etc.
Maintenance of main and auxiliary engines, hydraulic pumps, hydraulic cylinders (rams), water pumps, ventilation systems, under water running gear and any other mechanical
Maintenance of emergency generators, emergency steering and firefighting systems to ensure compliance in line with legislation.
Interactive use of HELM (Asset Management System) and upkeep of maintenance requests;
Completion of ad hoc maintenance tasks and repairs where there are mechanical and non mechanical issues arising, under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager.

You will have demonstrated ability to problem solve using calculated logic and both functional and technical skills to solve issues quickly and efficiently. THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking a motivated and proactive Human Resource Advisor to join the team on a permanent full-time basis. This is an office based opportunity working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. Come home each night and enjoy your weekends every week!
Reporting to the Human Resource Manager, this role will provide support and assistance with the administration of the day-to-day operations of HR functions and duties, assisting in the areas of onboarding, learning and development, performance management, recruitment and general HR administration. They will establish and maintain high quality and timely work flow of the HR administration and coordination to enable effective performance of a wide range of HR functions, ensuring a high level of service to the team and the Cruise Whitsundays business whilst maintaining complete confidentiality. As a support function, this role will be required to travel on our vessels on a regular basis to provide support to our on-water team.
Key responsibilities
Manage the recruitment and talent acquisition process and liaise with Senior Recruitment Partner (JB), management and external agencies as required;
Coordinate work experience and industry programs;
Prepare contracts of employment and employment related correspondence;
Ensure new starter documents for setting up new employees is complete and accurate;
Provide guidance and support to leaders on onboarding and induction programs for new employees;
Oversee probationary period reviews including audits, reminders and confirmations;
Work closely with the wider HR Team to support the businesses and collaboratively drive key HR initiatives/projects;
Provide general support on a range of administrative and operational matters to ensure the effective running HR;
Provide key metric and general reporting to the Leadership team;
Coordination and record keeping for key employee dates.
THE CANDIDATE
To be successful in this position you will have a proven ability to effectively multi-task and meet allocated deadlines. You will be process-driven and able to operate calmly under pressure, whilst assisting the Leadership team with making informed decisions and balance multiple competing priorities. You will be a self-motivated team player with a demonstrated positive "can-do" attitude and extensive experience in a similar role. You will have intermediate to advance experience utilising multiple software systems and the Microsoft suite of products, while self-managing administrative tasks and processes.

THE OPPORTUNITY
We have a unique opportunity available to join our Ground Crew team on a casual basis. This position will require you to work at both the Port of Airlie Terminal and Hamilton Island (ferry transportation included to & from Shute Harbour).
Your days could see you doing;
Greeting guests and making them feel welcome from the moment they arrive;
Managing the movement of luggage and freight;
Maintaining accurate Inventory through receiving and counting freight;
Assisting the vessel crew in loading and unloading of freight, luggage and guests;
Assisting reservations team with enquiries, check ins and issuing tickets;
Maintaining clear communication with fleet and Port of Airlie via radio;
Ensure guest safety and satisfaction;
Adhering to operational procedures and WHS requirements;
Maintaining housekeeping and cleanliness in assigned work area;
All activities performed to a timely schedule.
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will be passionate and proud of the service that they deliver and be willing to go above and beyond for our guests, motivated to create ongoing memorable and unique guest experiences. You will be a team player with a demonstrated positive "can-do" attitude, have previous experience in a similar role and ability to deliver professional service. Minimum of 1-years' experience in a similar customer service role, with previous Porter/Reservations experience advantageous;
Must hold a valid manual drivers license;
First Aid qualifications and experience in warehouse & procurement highly advantageous;
Reliable, self-motivated and proactive with an adaptable nature;
Ability to work efficiently and proactively in an autonomous environment;
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office and general administrative tasks;

The Sales and Marketing Executive is an enthusiastic and creative team member and an imperative role within the Sales and Marketing Team at Cruise Whitsundays. Managing all social media and digital marketing platforms, the Sales and Marketing Executive ensures positive maximum exposure of the Cruise Whitsundays brand.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
Produce market analysis and sales reports
Assist in the delivery of all CWS marketing campaigns and social media content;
Manage all online booking engine responsibilities (new agent account set up and support) and liaise with third party stakeholders
Online promotions, local agent account support, trainings and events ;
Assist with sales calls, trade shows and events
Manage all contra accounts and bookings & sales administrative tasks;
Manage key relationships with social media influencers, media partners and lead suppliers;
Host and plan annual influencer events (Reefmeet etc.)
Update and maintain website content using WordPress
Manage, create and distribute all EDM activity
We have a rare permanent full time position available working Monday to Friday 830am to 500pm at our Port of Airlie Terminal. There may be adhoc hours required for social networking, famils and expos etc.
THE CANDIDATE The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and passionate with a demonstrated growth mindset and proven skills in excellent relationship management. Your high-energy and excellent interpersonal skills will be critical to your success, demonstrated through your natural ability to form strong working relationships. You are know for your solution based problem solving skills, organisation and high attention to detail.
Bachelors degree or relevant qualification in Sales & Marketing highly desirable;
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a sales and marketing role highly desirable;
Previous Experience in sales and marketing in the travel and tourism industry;

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are on the hunt for permanent full time Catering Chef to join the team working Tuesday to Saturday 1:00pm to 9:30pm. Reporting to the Catering Supervisor, the Catering Chef assist in the day to day management of the onsite Catering team. This hands-on position oversees daily kitchen operations to provide high-quality catering across the business including onsite catering, onboard vessels and at Reefworld – a permanently moored pontoon, located 39 nautical miles offshore on the Great Barrier Reef. The Catering Chef also assists with private charters and function events.
What will you be doing?
Prepare menus and provide input for new ideas in collaboration with the Catering Supervisor;
Understand and cater to food allergies and dietary requirements;
Ensure appropriate storage of food items and safe transportation of food;
Ensure high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and general safety ;
Stock procurement and monitoring portion and waste control;
Provide mentorship and guidance to Cooks and Kitchen Attendants;
Stay current on catering industry trends.
The Catering Chef must undertake relief work at Reefworld – a permanently moored pontoon, located 39 nautical miles from shore on the Great Barrier Reef. The Reefworld kitchen facilitates one of Australia’s most unique 5-star dining experiences. Shared accommodation and meals provided whilst on-duty at the Reefworld Pontoon.
THE CANDIDATE
