Estimator, we are looking for an experienced Modular Estimator to join join us at our Manufacturing site outside of Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

This is an exciting chance to join one of the UK's leading modular building manufacturers.

The objective of the role is to be involved in the bid management from receipt of the enquiry to ensuring timely submission of the quotations. Upon subsequent receipt of any order, process the required documentation and hand over to the respective teams within the business giving additional support to the projects team in preparing required site process/documentation.

KEY DUTIES

Book incoming enquires into the quotation database as required.

Provide an efficient / timely service to customers and ensure client specified deadlines are achieved and unspecified quote dates are turned around in 14 days maximum. Where applicable any product quotes are to be turned around in 7 days maximum.

Presentation of quotations in line with the company upmarket image, utilising standard templates available.

Understand / familiarise oneself with contract terms and conditions to ensure risks are identified and qualified where appropriate.

Support business development managers in pre-post tender client meetings

Cost effective evaluations of projects on receipt of enquiry and obtain a practical solution to manufacturing.

Organise Launch and contract review meetings.

Compile sub-contractor and specialist materials enquiries as required, ensuring despatch in a timely manner in line with quotation deadline. Evaluate subsequent quotations for use in our tender packages. Ensure the most competitive bids are obtained.

To arrange as required to discuss profit margins and sales targets on particular projects prior to quotation despatch.

Ensure estimates are compiled on in-house bespoke computerised estimating system.

Contribute to Research and Development as requested.

Use I.T skills to develop and contribute to systems within the Estimating Department as required.

Take ownership of the sub-contractor database and maintain on behalf of the Department.

Attend post-tender meetings with clients as required.

Contribute to weekly / monthly Sales meetings as required and attend the monthly Project Meeting as required. Assist in the production of daily, weekly, and monthly departmental reports as required.

Experience:

BSC in a relevant construction degree

Experience of building and construction.

Understanding cost base risk analysis.

Production Co-ordinator

Monday to Friday

Main purpose of the role: Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Production Co-ordinator will be responsible for working with the Planning Manager, Production Managers and Team Leaders to ensure production schedules are accurate and deadlines are met, with a focus on ensuring that outputs are on time to the customer demand.

Key Responsibilities:

Finite daily capacity planning for all production departments across our manufacturing processes.
Raise component shortages and ensure all shortages are investigated, resolved and communicated out where necessary.
Monitoring jobs to ensure that they are completed on time through the daily huddle.
Collaborate with all relevant internal departments to pass/gain information, including projects, new products or one-offs.
Maintenance of BOMs and stock consumption through production, resolving posting errors to ensure output.
Daily/Weekly Production efficiency tracking and reporting to Production Manager and Head of Manufacturing.
Maintain production schedules to keep them aligned to the delivery schedules.
Compile and distribute weekly production reports, including Capacity Loading, Efficiency and Shortages.

Role Requirements:

Previous experience in production of BOMs and stock control
Previous experience in dealing with capacity planning
Proactive and self-motivated with excellent organisational skills
Computer literate with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; previous experience with Microsoft NAV preferred
