This position offers the post holder an exciting opportunity to work within the PATCH team “Providing Assessment and Treatment for Children at Home”, with support from the Paediatric Emergency Department (PED) and the Paediatric Wards at St Mary's Hospital.

The post holder will use their clinical experience and skills to independently assess and manage acutely unwell children, ensuring all children referred to the PATCH team receive high quality, compassionate and effective care at home.

The post holder will utilise face to face, virtual and telephone consultations and where escalation of treatment is required, liaise with the hospital teams ensuring timely care is maintained.

This role involves the use of public transport to travel to home visits, expenses for which will be reimbursed.

Due to the expansion of our service, we are advertising for a permanent Band 8A Senior Clinical Scientist post in Diagnostic Radiology and Radiation safety (RP). We are looking for self-motivated and enthusiastic physicist with a few years of experience and a good background in Quality Assurance, optimisation and radiation protection/safety, to work within the Radiological Sciences Unit (RSU) at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (ICHNT). The successful candidate will join a friendly and dynamic team delivering scientific and technical support and radiation safety services to ICHNT and a number of external organisations.

The post holder is expected to be a registered HCPC clinical scientist who will play a key role in procurement, acceptance, commissioning, optimisation and routine quality assurance of x-ray diagnostic equipment. We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic, motivated, full time band 7 sonographers to join our busy, friendly Ultrasound team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. We provide a comprehensive (mainly non-obstetric) ultrasound service to a wide range of specialities within the hospital and local GPs.

At Charing Cross Hospital, we perform general abdominal, gynaecological, small parts, Testes, including Head & Neck, venous Doppler, MSK and contrast enhanced microbubble scans.

Experience in MSK would be preferable but is not essential. We would support training in MSK scanning by encouraging attendance to courses and working with MSK consultants in order to gain knowledge and experience and to eventually deliver independent MSK sessions.

Posts are available at Hammersmith Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital and St Mary’s Hospital. Sonographers are not required to rotate between sites and current working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00 but this may change in the future to provide 7-day service.

All three departments are excellent to work in, where further training and development is supported. Regular meetings are held to discuss interesting cases. You will be expected to work independently, however support from other sonographers and radiologists is always available and encouraged.

Candidates must hold PG (cert), PG (Dip) or DMU or equivalent and be state registered with the HCPC if you have an underlying profession.


• To provide an efficient high quality ultrasound service comprising unsupervised scanning sessions within the trust maintaining a high standard of patient care.
• To work as an independent practitioner by performing ultrasound scans to a high diagnostic standard, formulating a report and communicating the results to the appropriate clinician and to accountable for own professional actions. Provide specialist advice pertaining to the ultrasound service.

As a Research Practitioner or Research nurse you will play an integral role inthe delivery of high quality research within oncology. The post holder will berequired to work collaboratively with the clinical team and wider multi-disciplinaryteam in the management of your own caseload. This will involve the identification,recruitment, education and monitoring of patients participating in research alongwith the timely collation and documentation of accurate data. The role is on site and patient facing.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clinical trials whereby they can make a valued contribution in assessing andmanaging the care pathways for patients participating in research. An exciting opportunity has arisen on the Band 6 Occupational Therapy general rotation which currently offers posts across St Mary’s hospital which is the major trauma centre for the North West London network, Charing Cross hospital which is a specialist stroke and neuroscience centre and Hammersmith hospital which houses the specialist cardiology centre.

The successful candidate will have a chance to work across a variety of specialities including, ICU, neurosciences, trauma, orthopaedics and surgery, acute specialist medicine (general and elderly), acute medical unit, renal medicine, oncology and respiratory medicne . All teams are well staffed with band 8 and 7 senior clinicians supporting each specialty team to ensure essential professional development opportunities are available from the moment you join the trust. Flexible working arrangements/ fixed term/ secondment contracts will also be considered.

The post holder will need to have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to work effectively with both their OT and multi-disciplinary team colleagues.

The post is static and based at Charring Cross and St-Mary's Hospital. The post holder will carry a varied caseload of patients referred by trauma and orthopaedic, plastics and rheumatology. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a largely outpatient caseload, but will also have responsibilities covering hand therapy inpatients on the wards.
