RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a forward-looking I&O strategy that aligns with our business goals.
- Drive innovation by exploring emerging technologies and industry best practices.
- Champion ITIL practices and drive process improvements.
Management of Operations
Global Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of our global IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud services.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and security across all infrastructure components.
- Collaborate with regional teams to optimize local infrastructure while maintaining global standards.
Operational Excellence:
- Lead incident response, problem resolution, and capacity planning efforts.
- Implement robust monitoring and automation tools to enhance system reliability.
Security and Compliance:
- As the Global Head of IT Infrastructure and Operations, you'll be at the forefront of safeguarding our digital assets. Here's what this entails: Establish and enforce security policies, protocols, and access controls.:
- Policy Development:Establish and enforce security policies, protocols, and controls that cover data protection, access management, encryption.
- Threat Mitigation: Collaborate with our cybersecurity teams to identify and mitigate risks. Stay informed about emerging threats and vulnerabilities. Promote security awareness among the team.
- Security Audits: Regularly assess our infrastructure for vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards (such as ISO 27001) and legal requirements (such as GDPR).
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX) and ensure our infrastructure aligns with these requirements.
- Audits and Assessments: Prepare for assessments by providing evidence of compliance.
- Risk Management: Identify compliance risks and propose controls to mitigate them.Compliance is critical to maintaining trust and adhering to legal obligations. Here's how you'll handle it:
- Vendor Compliance: Evaluate third-party vendors' compliance with our standards and contractual obligations
Change Management:
- Lead change initiatives related to infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and transformations.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to minimize disruptions.
- Foster a culture of adaptability and resilience.
Vendor Management:
- Evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and partners.
- Negotiate contracts, service-level agreements, and pricing terms.
- Drive vendor performance and accountability.
Team Development
Team Leadership:
- Build and mentor a high-performing global I&O team.
- Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and skill development.
- Create a positive work environment that encourages creativity and growth.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with IT teams, security teams, legal, compliance, business units and their executive leadership.
- Communicate on resilience strategies, progress, and challenges to relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in cross-functional committees related to risk management and business continuity.
- Engage with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Certifications: Preferred certifications include Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), ITIL certification, Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
- Experience:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in IT infrastructure management, including global operations.
- Strong knowledge of IT networks, infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud environments.
- Familiarity with relevant frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 22301).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) principles.
- Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, CIS).
- Excellent project management and leadership skills. Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- This position may require occassional after-hours availability for incident response and testing.
