As a Maintenance Manager at Hotel Indigo, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel by managing and maintaining its physical assets and infrastructure. Your responsibilities include:

• Overseeing and managing the hotel's maintenance team, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Planning and executing maintenance and repair activities for the hotel's facilities, including rooms, common areas, and mechanical systems.
• Managing and ensuring the proper functioning of essential systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security systems.
• Scheduling and supervising preventive maintenance to minimise downtime and operational disruptions.
• Collaborating with other departments to address maintenance-related issues promptly and efficiently.
• Managing maintenance budgets and expenses while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Evaluating and recommending improvements to enhance the hotel's physical assets.

As the Head Chef you will be expected to ensure the efficient and effective running of the kitchen team, ensuring that the preparation and presentation of the food is of a high standard and complies with food safety regulations.

The ideal candidate would possess outstanding leadership and time management skills along with having at least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position. You must be cost conscious and know how to manage food wastage. Excellent food presentation skills and knowledge of food and beverage is key.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

• Leading the team, supervise, train and motivate the kitchen team to achieve Company standards and comply with food and health and safety regulations.
• Planning and implementing new menus.
• Maximising sales and profit while ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
• Ensuring all commodities are on-site at an appropriate stock level to service hotel guests.
• Respond to audits that are completed by the company to ensure continual improvement is achieved.
• Controlling the kitchen budget, in relation to occupancy, departmental expenses and staff rotas

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
• Developing programmes and initiatives to increase team engagement and achieve against performance and development goals.
• Maintaining compliance with all required brand and service standards – collaborating with colleagues to exceed guest expectations.
• Building relationships with guests and external contacts such as current and potential clients, government officials, travel industry representatives, suppliers and local communities
• Leading annual capital, cash flow and sales and marketing plans to accurately forecast budgets

What we need from you
• Bachelor’s degree, higher education qualification or equivalent in Hotel Administration / Business Administration
• Five to ten years’ prior hotel management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience required may vary based on size and complexity of operation.
• Must speak fluent English.
• Other languages preferred.
