The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Senior Air Reserve Technician (ART) Officer with overall supervision and management of either an Aircraft Maintenance Squadron , a Maintenance Squadron , an Equipment Maintenance Squadron or a Component Maintenance Squadron at an Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) unit-equipped or associate unit.

RESPONSIBILITES:
1. Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the squadron. Manages assigned maintenance resources and ensures production meets operational requirements and technical standards. Recommends procedural and technical improvements and modifications.
2. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities to include personnel and position management, equal opportunity, security, and safety. Advises employees regarding policies, procedures and directives of management. Maintains sound positions management practice when determining types and numbers of positions to support the organizational mission.
3. Represents organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Meets with key customers and coordinating officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolves significant problems that arise.

DUTIES:
Duty 1 - Serves as a Work Leader/Dedicated Crew Chief of assigned aircraft, responsible for effectively coordinating and/or overseeing maintenance, troubleshooting, positioning, appearance and servicing of the aircraft. Responsible for the total airworthiness of the assigned aircraft.
Duty 2 - Performs and/or oversees aircraft inspections including preflight, post flight, phase, acceptance, and other scheduled and unscheduled inspections.
Duty 3 - Provides technical supervision on production matters to all employees assigned to the crew/team, which may include active duty, ARTs, civilians, and others.
Duty 4 - Enforces and complies with safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area.
Duty 5 - Leads verification and certification of work processes and procedures and adequacy of work accomplished by qualified mechanics and trainees.

Duties:

5. Leads erification and certification of work processes and procedures and adequacy of work- accomplished by q alified mechanics and trainees.

• Plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates activities necessary to the overall management of a diverse industrial hygiene, public health, occupational safety, and occupational health program; conducts investigations and sampling of identified hazards of concern, mishaps, public health incidents, and hazardous conditions to determine origin, causes, and contributing elements. Analyses and prepares written evaluation reports concerning findings and proposed recommendations.
• Prepares supplements to instructions and manuals and develops specialized local instructions defining hazard control and mishap prevention programs and procedures based on interpretation and/or adaptation of higher command instructions and policies formulated by other federal government agencies.
• Reviews plans and specifications for events, new construction, major building alterations, and/or changes in equipment and monitors projects through completion to ensure compliance with industrial hygiene, public health, occupational safety, and occupational health codes and standards.
• Develops and provides technical industrial hygiene, public health, occupational safety, and occupational health training/instruction to supervisors, employees, unit health monitors, unit deployment monitors, and/or unit Bioenvironmental Engineering and Public Health program representatives on a wide range of work operations areas, such as Hazard Communication (HAZCOM), Respiratory Protection, OSHA expanded standards, ionizing radiation, lasers, electromagnetic frequencies, noise, public health concerns, bloodborne pathogens, food handling, medical intelligence, thermal stress, and ergonomics.
• Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities for a small subordinate staff, typically 7 or fewer positions.

Orders and issues nonavailability numbers when adequate quarters are not available and assigns eligible TDY travelers to commercial contract quarters. Registers and assigns rooms to guests, issues room keys, and may escort guests to rooms when called for. Calculates and posts charges to patrons' accounts and balances totals with control records. Accepts payment, makes change, and presents departing guests checkout statements. Prepares and safeguards cash receipts, prepares daily cashier's report, daily activity report, and may prepare consolidated daily activity report. Maintains daily quarters occupancy and current checkout list; acts on special requests from guests for service; operates a telephone system for guest use; ensures the availability of information on local area dining, lodging, and tourism is available for guests; provides emergency notification for guests; ensures that personal belongings deposited by the guest, or found, are safeguarded; ensures a night audit is performed daily. Ensures cleanliness of lobby and reception area. Maintains the retail sales inventory comprised of sundry and beverage items available for patron purchase. As time permits, performs non-supervisory duties as Guest Service Representative in the lodging guest reception unit. Implements corrective actions within authority to resolve work problems. Recommends solutions to staffing problems, work operations, etc., as appropriate to other supervisors. Supports and explains management programs to subordinates. Plans, establishes and schedules leave; sets performance standards; selects the most suitable applicants for vacancies, determines performance ratings and training needs; and prepares and recommends disciplinary actions. Advises and counsels workers on how to improve their performance, and explains new work techniques. Investigates grievances and complaints; resolves them informally, notifying supervisors of those of sufficient importance or seriousness. Performs other related duties as assigned.

The purpose of this position is to oversee the operations of maintenance, supply, and housekeeping or oversee the operations of maintenance and supply depending on size/structure of the lodging operation. Accountable for the quantity and quality of work performed by assigned employees to include: hires, promotes, motivates, disciplines, and separates employees. Writes, coordinates, and submits AF Form 332, Base Civil Engineer Work Request, and tracks work orders to completion. Ensures safety inspections are current, to include facility, fire extinguisher, preventative maintenance, OSHA, and other inspections are maintained and documented. Documents and fosters proper maintenance and warehouse practices. May drive government motor vehicle to inspect lodging facilities, rooms, common areas, grounds, equipment and tools to ensure proper maintenance and repairs are accomplished and/or to identify minor plumbing and electrical discrepancies, sanitation problems or deteriorated paint surfaces. Ensures routine inspection and minor maintenance are performed on lodging vehicles. Maintains bench stock levels of parts, materials, tools, and equipment at prescribed levels. Establishes and maintains minimum stock levels of all expendable supplies and amenities to assure adequate inventory of items to prevent work stoppage. Manages stocks of perishable items to ensure that items are used before expiration dates. Establishes and maintains the appropriate security of high value items subject to pilferage. Responsible for warehousing of expendable and nonexpendable backup stocks according to generally accepted supply warehousing and safety policies and standards. Assigns, directs, and reviews the work of subordinates, and evaluates their work performance; approving or disapproving sick leave, annual leave or other absences from work. Plans, schedules, and coordinates work operations, determining equipment and supplies needed according to priorities and/or objectives outlined by supervisor. Unusual problems or circumstances requiring deviations from general guidelines are discussed with supervisor. Inspects completed work for quality and completeness. Provides initial and recurring training for all employees. Performs other related duties as assigned.
