We are seeking a Principal Technical Architect to join our client's growing technology team. This senior role is essential for guiding the organisation's technology strategy and involves direct reporting to senior leadership. The Principal Technical Architect will oversee a team of technical architects, ensuring the design and implementation of modern technology solutions that align with strategic objectives. Additionally, this role will serve as a deputy to senior management, participating in high-level discussions and decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Governance:
  
  • Chair the Design Authority, ensuring that architectural standards are upheld, and best practices are communicated across the organisation.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of technical architects, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance technology performance, availability, and reduce time to market.
• Architectural Development:
  
  • Lead the development and implementation of an Enterprise Architecture Practice (EAP), including policies, processes, and reusable design patterns to minimise technical debt and improve user experience.
  • Drive the creation of CI/CD (DevSecOps) capabilities, automating workflows to streamline transitions from non-production to production environments while ensuring security compliance.
  • Implement advanced cyber defence mechanisms to address active risks and establish a zero-trust architecture across platforms.
  • Oversee the transition to public cloud services, redesigning capabilities to leverage cloud-native features effectively.
• Technical Assurance & Engagement:
  
  • Provide technical assurance across multidisciplinary teams, addressing complex business and technical challenges effectively.
  • Engage in presales activities, designing solutions that meet client needs and presenting these solutions to stakeholders.
  • Act as the technical lead for bids and ITT submissions, ensuring proposals are comprehensive, competitive, and aligned with client requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

• Active SC or be eligible to undergo a high level security clearance e.g. UK Citizenship
• Relevant industry certifications such as ITIL, AGILE, TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to develop and implement technology strategies and policies that align with governmental standards.
• Project experience in designing: migrations to public cloud environments (particularly with M365 and AWS), automation of platforms/products/services, server/operating system/network technologies, and VMware virtualisation platforms (such as VCF, VCD, VSAN, and NSX).
• Familiarity with SASE architecture, as well as Cisco and Palo Alto technologies, is essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships across various disciplines and stakeholders.
• Proficient in documentation and time management, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
• A thorough understanding of cloud technologies, including experience with Microsoft 365 and AWS, as well as knowledge of security frameworks and best practices.

Based in Milton Keynes, hybrid-2 days in the office, 3 days working from home.Join the team as an HR Operations Team Leader / Manager and help deliver HR services to the business. You will model HR best practice, establish credibility and trust with stakeholders, and support innovation in HR support.

Responsibilities:You will be responsible for coaching, mentoring and developing a team of HR life cycle support advisors, who provide HR advice on HR, Benefits, Payroll and Learning & Development queries, via a case management tool.
You will be there to provide expert advice and guidance on end-end HR processes, policies and procedures.
You will be solutions focused and have the ability to resolve potential issues.

The Successful Applicant:You must have experience as an HR Team Leader / HR Operations Manager, who has worked in a large, commercial HR Shared Services environment.

The Problem Management Lead has two main areas of focus: Practice Ownership and Operational Management. In Practice Ownership, the role is responsible for the governance, design, implementation, and continuous improvement of ITIL practices within the organisation. This ensures that these practices consistently add value by aligning with ITIL best practices and organisational objectives. The role involves leading process development, managing performance, and working closely with stakeholders. In Operational Management, the role involves overseeing the daily operations of the SIAM practice, ensuring the effective integration and management of multiple service providers to deliver seamless IT services. This includes managing operational governance, driving service improvements, and ensuring all service providers meet agreed performance standards. Therefore, your responsibilities include (but are not limited):

• Leadership and Governance: Define and implement ITIL practices, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and compliance with standards.
• Process Management: Design, document, and maintain standardised processes and workflows, ensuring effective communication across the organisation.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive process optimisation and innovation, leveraging industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Service Integration: Oversee the coordination of services from multiple providers, ensuring seamless end-to-end delivery.
• Performance Management: Establish and monitor governance frameworks, SLAs, and KPIs, conducting regular performance reviews with service providers.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary contact for stakeholders, managing escalations and facilitating governance meetings.

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong experience in IT problem management and worked in a SIAM or multi-supplier management role where you have designed and implemented.
• ITIL v3/v4 Foundation is required; additional ITIL certifications (e.g., Practitioner, Expert) are highly desirable.
• Broad understanding of ITSM tools and technologies. Experience with cloud-based ITSM solutions is a plus.
• Exceptional client-facing skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly assess situations and propose effective solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams, including internal and external resources and client stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience creating and delivering high-quality documentation, presentations, and reports.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
