Hays are working exclusively with a global manufacturing business to appoint a newly created Finance Business Partner to support their operations in Swindon. Our client is an industry leader that is stable and growing, that provides ample opportunity and exposure to a global Fortune 500 Group.
Your new role
As Finance Business Partner, you'll be the critical link between Finance and Engineering, with your core responsibilities including:
- Collaborating with the Engineering team to accurately manage strategic investments including CAPEX reporting and forecasting.
- Supporting operational improvements in data reporting and extracts of data.
- Responsibility for inventory policies.
- Business Partnering with the Engineering function and developing relationships.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial close processes.
- Supporting technical accounting issues related to monthly and quarterly financial close processes.
- Proactively contribute to the budget and forecasting processes.
- Maintaining commercial quotation workbook Engineering assumptions.
- Support the local site team with cost accounting to help quantify savings for potential projects and initiatives.
- Support SOX and external auditors.
What you'll need to succeed
This role requires prior experience in a commercial, finance business partnering position. Both part-qualified / finalist and qualified accountants will be considered for this role, with transferrable skills being the priority:
- Business partnering and analytical experience required.
- Experience in a manufacturing / engineering environment preferred.
- SAP and HFM experience is preferred.
- Passion for and experience of optimising processes preferred.
What you'll get in return
- Competitive base salary between £45,000 and £50,000 depending on experience.
- Annual discretionary bonus of 9% base salary.
