Our goal is to improve the energy efficiency of homes for householders across Scotland, we deliver schemes to install various insulation and renewable technology measures in people’s homes. We are looking for a dynamic Project Manager who can lead clients and contractors to meet their goals within ambitious deadlines. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to build common approaches, effective working practices and ensuring everyone understands what is required. You’ll have your eye on the day-to-day details while ensuring you horizon scan for emerging issues and work with colleagues to create solutions. You will have a natural approach to fostering working relationships and the ability to effectively challenge to keep progress at the forefront. Collaborative working is key and engaging colleagues to work with you is our core approach.

This role will focus on projects being delivered in the North East of Scotland including Moray. Your nearest office will be in Inverness, the team are encouraged/required to meet with colleagues in-person regularly and will need to visit project sites throughout the North East. We also offer flexible working arrangements that support your life outside work.

Ideally you’ll have experience of working in retrofit, renewables or with local authorities or registered social landlords (RSLs). Most importantly we are looking with someone with the right project management skills, experience and approach. We can support you to grow your knowledge of the sector if you bring the enthusiasm and curiosity.

Overall Purpose
To lead on the identification, development, and delivery of new CES opportunities, resources, and sources of income to ensure CES's financial sustainability, and the updating and maintenance of an appropriate development stragey for the organisation.

Job Description Main Tasks

• To take ownership for, develop, coordinate and manage CES’ Development programme to advance the charitable aims of CES, including the development and implementation of a new Development Strategy
• To collate information from CES's members and from colleagues working in the field to identify new project ideas that overcome existing barriers and meet the needs of community energy groups in Scotland
• To initiate and manage the process of development of new projects and activities, including delegating tasks to different members of the team, with clear activities and deadlines
• To proactively seek new funding opportunities, including from grant funds and Invitations to Tender to:
  • Ensure continuation and development of existing projects and job security for CES team
  • Work closely with the Technical Director and CES Trading Manager to maximise the income from all available sources to meet the charitable purposes of the organisation
  • Collaborate with the whole CES Team on new projects, bids, fees and tenders
• To build relationships with other organisations in order to build new consortia and access more opportunities
• To engage with and build opportunities for joint development programmes with community groups, leading research and development institutions, companies in the UK and further afield.
• Where funding is secured, to ensure a smooth handover process to the project operations team.
• To join the CES Management Team, which is responsible for the successful operation of Community Energy Scotland
• To provide line management to up to 4 people.
• To carry out project work, potentially managing small projects and to carry out any other core work for CES as needed by the CEO and the wider team.
• To ensure that CES staff and community group members are kept fully up to date on key developments and opportunities

Financial Recording

• To ensure high quality budgeting, financial management and reporting requirements are met in all development projects
• To proactively share information with the CEO, Head of Finance and Head of Projects to ensure that there is good visibility of upcoming and potential projects and funding.

Representing CES:

• Acting as a positive ambassador for CES and ensuring that all activities are performed in a way that is in line with its vision and mission.
  Representing CES at local, national and international outreach and promotion events as necessary.
• Providing updates on your work on projects for social media and website pages to ensure a good public profile.
  

Administration

• To keep all information about development work up to date, including updating funding databases and ensuring that information around all projects in development and all applications are filed on CES’s online systems (Monday.com/Sharepoint).
  To keep all personal work records up to date such as annual leave requests, timesheets and CES’s online systems (Monday.com and Sharepoint).
• Attend team meetings.
• Chairing fortnightly development meetings and ensuring that minutes and actions are recorded and distributed.
• To lead on tracking development work accordingly and ensure deadlines are met and tasks fulfilled when working collaboratively
• Manage internal CVs and evidence for funding applications and bids
• To ensure careful project documentation according to CES’ project approval and management system, including details of project and financial progress.

Other Tasks

• To play a full role in the evolution and operation of the team at Community Energy Scotland, and support the success of Community Energy Scotland as a whole
• To undertake other tasks as agreed from time to time with CEO and CES senior management team – the successful applicant will be expected to engage in a two-way conversation about future work and to also present ideas to the wider team as they come up.
• Travel to meetings and events in Scotland, and occasionally the UK or abroad.

This role will focus on projects being delivered in the North East of Scotland including Moray. We deliver schemes to install various insulation and renewable technology measures in people’s homes. That’s where you come in! As the managing agent, we partner with local authorities, housing associations, and social landlords to improve the energy efficiency of homes. You’ll use your project management and strong relationship building skills to work effectively with various partners and be confident communicating with various stakeholders.

You’ll already have an understanding of the complexities involved with delivering retrofit projects, such as driving quality and managing complex timelines. Playing a key role in the Building Decarbonisation team, you’ll be supported by project administrators and work closely with our internal Quality Assurance and Quantity Surveying teams.

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

BACKGROUND

Centred (Scotland) is a progressive charitable company based in the Highlands that provides health and social care support across Highland. Specialising in Mental Health support, our services are currently based in Easter Ross, Lochaber, Inverness and Caithness. In Inverness we also have 23 bed residential Recovery Centre and a Discovery College that provides wellbeing learning and experiences from a hub in Inverness across Highland.

REPORTS TO: Chief Executive

HOURS: 35 hours/week (negotiable)

JOB SUMMARY: To lead on matters relating to Human Resources and Training working with Service Managers, payroll and HR staff.

KEY TASKS:

Work in close partnership with senior management to prepare and implement HR strategy.
Create and issue any contracts.
Support managers and team leaders on all recruiting matters.
Advise managers and provide guidance on HR policy and procedures.
Keep up to date with employment legislation across the UK,
Manage investigations and complex employee relations issues including redundancy and grievance.
Ensure employee relation cases are managed to meet best practice requirements.
Develop and maintain HR policies.
Monitor and develop performance appraisal systems.
Monitor all employee records to include maternity, paternity requests and absence and sickness and provide regular reports to the senior management team.
Manage HR personnel files to ensure they are kept up-to-date.
Develop starter and leaver procedures.
Gather and evaluate market data to measure the organisation’s competitiveness for salary reviews, compensation and benefits packages.
Work closely with payroll to process monthly payrolls.

Roles and responsibilities of the Office Manager/Senior Case Worker

· Supporting Angus by leading a busy constituency office, the Office Manager will report to the Chief of Staff and work with the other members of the team

· Manage office budgets, keeping the MP informed of relevant financial matters and liaising with IPSA.

· Lead and maintain a highly professional administrative support function.

· Manage an office team, ensuring accurate personnel records are kept and notifying IPSA of contractual changes.

· Overall management of the MP’s diary commitments, delegating tasks to others as appropriate.

· Liaise with groups/personnel on the MP’s behalf.

· Have final signoff on all relevant delegated areas from the MP, e.g. constituent correspondence.

· Plan the MPs internal communications and external stakeholder engagement, providing strategic advice on constituent matters on behalf of the MP where appropriate.

About the role:
As the Purchasing and Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the purchasing process and optimising operational efficiency within Caley Timber. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end purchasing cycle, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, and enhancing operational processes to meet company objectives.

You will also play a key role working with our third-party suppliers as regards facilitating health and safety actions and as part of a national buying group.
