Summary:
The role of the Supervisor is to be a player / coach. This includes driving the responsiveness of their assigned Commercial Operations team to enable us to grow bookings overall. While maintaining a responsibility for some quoting activity, this position will be responsible for building a highly responsive and customer driven group.
The group will be focused on providing our Flowserve sales organization, customers, distributors, and 3rd party representative channel partners the most technically sound and competitive quotation solutions for all pertinent inquiries in addition to transferring to our operations complete and correct order entry files for execution.
Responsibilities:
- For pre-defined accounts, the Supervisor will be responsible for the review of RFQs and the issuance of quotes for the products that this person supports.
- Drive timely responsiveness to all viable quotation opportunities. This includes tracking the response time of the Commercial Operations team based on agreed upon standards.
- Manage the review of all valve and actuation orders for completeness and correctness, and assist in resolving any issues to insure proper order entry.
- Proper order entry to include clean Order Transfer files that are provided to Order Management in the agreed upon time frame
- Coordinate and approve commercial terms of purchase orders and/or contracts including SAP generation and approval along with the resolution of any respective terms and conditions issues, based on Flowserve guidelines
- Implement and oversee a continual training program to insure
- Team members are properly applying their technical expertise and commercial knowledge during quotation preparation.
- Are updated on our techniques for utilizing any of the respective configurators / sizing and selection tools required for proposal generation
- Are learning to apply our best practices in sizing, selecting and quoting the best suited Flowserve FCO products
- Ensure applicable industry standards are applied correctly
- Any schools conducted at the operation are well coordinated, informative and beneficial to all attendees (Flowserve direct or 3rd party sales personnel)
Team Members are being developed to continuously enhance and improve performance
- Work closely and develop strong business relationships with the key members of our operations, sales and engineering management teams to help drive the success of our FCO organization
- Continually analyze and track the results of our pricing and quotation practices, including the generation of win / loss quotation hit rates to enhance our effectiveness
- Track, monitor, and review the performance of your individual direct reports through our performance management review process, including assigning measurable goals and focused accountabilities. Monitor the progress of each team member throughout the year per our HR guidelines and processes.
- Work closely with our outside sales organization to enhance our communication, project pursuit, collaboration, and overall selling efforts
- Comply with Flowserve goals, objectives and policies and manage your respective team members to adhere to the same standards

Requirements:
- BS or BA Degree in relevant field and 5–7 years relevant experience.
- Successful inside / outside sales experience.
- Knowledge and experience serving the variety of process control markets associated with the assigned products and / or region.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Detailed oriented.
- Proven track records of completing assignments as requested and in a timely manner.
- Basic knowledge of commercial issues including payment terms, shipping terms, and contract review.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Internet along with the ability and willingness to learn how to use other or new business software packages as required by the role.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Proficiency in utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to enhance customer interactions and streamline communication processes.
- Experience in effectively coaching and developing team members to enhance their technical expertise and commercial knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and nurture business relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset and the capability to analyze and track team results, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Base pay Range for California:
The pay range for this role is $116,755.93 - $175,133.90 annually.
